My guess is the official posters for TDKR will follow the black and white theme. They did it with Lost and The Sopranos in their final season promotional stuff. The idea then was about coming full circle, stripping away all the gloss and high concept. Getting things down raw.

What's wrong with the tagline?

It is rhythmically awkward and it ends in a proposition.

I would suggest something shorter, like "Rise and Fall".

Pfister didn't take the photographs. Production stills are different from cinematography.

The Bane-pic I see your point. But the one with Batman walking seems like a stillframe from a scene though. I doubt a photographer told Bale to "okay hold up your leg and open your mouth and stand really still now".

Well, I'd imagine they'd have a guy or gal being paid to take photos while the scene is being filmed.
