Yeah, but Tom would be perfect for it.

The man is described as tall, broad and about 30, but looking almost ageless. (he's immortal) His eyes are described as gray and his hair is black with some curl.

Sounds, except for the eye color, like a description of Tom.

He'd be perfect and he could actually carry off wearing not much aside from a loin cloth.

They could probably modify the costume to better suit Tom's tastes, but the character in the book wears only a loin cloth and his sword belt along with his boots and any other weaponry he might have.

I imagine almost anyone would have problems going shirtless for an entire movie.

I bet they could come up with something that would still be pleasing to the eye and would fit Tom's preferences in wardrobe.

I think Tom would be a great choice for John Carter. It would be a great career move for him, too, if he was so inclined.

Yea if he wants to step away from smallville/family flix type of role. But watch if that film happens it will probably end up going to The rock or vin disel type of actor.

There's some buzz that there may be A Cheaper By The Dozen 3? Wonder if Tom will be back, he looks a lot more mature and older now. I don't think he'll be able to pull off 19 lol

Taylor maybe has a more well-rounded CV, but I thought a Gambit film was in the works.

I don't know if we'll get a Gambit spin-off any time soon. I think they might want to focus on Deadpool or Magneto first. I believe they're supposed to shoot FNL this summer so I guess he'll be free around January time? Not sure how long it takes to shoot 13 episodes...

Well, I went over to that John Carter movie site and it looked like Kitsch's agent had gotten him a copy of the script, but that's as far as that report went and then it came from something someone said over on Live Journal.

I'd take that with a serious grain of salt. He's not that much younger than Tom, born in 81 instead of 77, but he doesn't look a thing like the character is described in the books.

He does have some killer abs, though. I love the books and I love a good set of washboard abs, so I'd probably go see the film if he was in it.

I watched that game the other day, and I was looking out in the crowd in the hopes that he might be there, but they only ever show Jack Nicholson...... today I'll pay extra special attention. t:

He looks absolutely gorgeous and he's not sporting the unshaven look that he usually does when he is on his Smallville break.

He hasnt done any films since cheaper by the dozen 2 i believe. Compared to a few others like erica usually did something on breaks and same goes for glover who did theater/does theater work.
