You know, someone asked me why I like him so much... he looks like such a kid, you've heard that one before I'm sure, and I said I wasn't really sure but there was just something about him...

I said that I thought that he'd look better as he gets older, and he's proven me right since.

He keeps getting better and better lookin' each year...

If he's this good looking at 27, what is he gonna look like at 37?

You know.. I don't think I'd ever wandered into that thread before you posted this. I try to avoid banging my head against a wall whenever possible. I did like your post though.

I like BT, but bringing up Welling there is like asking for a beating. S'okay though..there are some friendly enough people there.

Yes I am a Smallville fan & no I am not an antagonizing hemoroid...I think it is a great show and I never miss a new episode. I just like to take digs at him too stir things up because quite a few people here take things too seriously...me included sometimes. When it comes down too it the big arguments on these boards are about a TV show and a movie...their are far more important things in life than either the movie or Smallville. Some people really need to get a sense of humor and learn to have a little fun and not obsess over who got the part and will he get fired or does such in such still have a chance? I'n just trying to have a little fun at Wellings expense...what's wrong with that? Don't hear him complaining

You know, I think you're basically harmless but the whole HWSNBN being God because he's Superman is getting old. It's really all that funny...

It's just a movie and he's just an actor.

As Pat so rightly pointed out, most people have no idea that someone has been cast much less who.

When they do find out it's not Tom they're usually surprised.



As much as we all got wrapped in who was or wasn't cast, in the end it's still just a movie and Routh (and Tom) are still just actors.

No one is saving lives or winning Nobel Prizes here...

In the grand scheme, there are a lot more important things to be worried about.

That's ok, I'm just having a very lousy day and as my husband helpfully pointed out, my sense of humor has disappeared and is nowhere to be seen.

I'm prolly taking this all to an extreme level but my bad day was an epic one, one perhaps worthy of a poem or other appropriate literary treatment...



Anway, to answer your question:

HWSNBN = He Who Shall Not Be Named = Routh = a reference to the general dislike magical folk have in speaking the name Voldemort in the Harry Potter books and films...

A dislike I have come to feel when it comes to You Know Who mainly because I am so disgusted with the whole thing.

Like I said, you're basically harmless (I understand you don't mean to be vindictive) but there are some in the anti-Welling forces that take pure delight in rubbing it in that Tom didn't get the part.

So I think I'm probably not alone in finding the "Routh IS Superman" type posts not at all funny when posted in the Smallville forum.

But this, like all of America, is a place where you are free to speak your mind, so I have spoken mine.

I would venture a guess, it's to promote SV. But I'll be waiting with baited breath to hear what's said about the Supes' film. And if they sidestep the question completely, I'll be freakin' pissed. LOL

If I'm not mistaken, it was on Carson Daily's show that Welling first discussed his being approached for the film under then director, Brett Ratner.

BTW... is it "Daily," or "Daly?"

Well, I think the image Pat put up yesterday shows his eyes off reaheallly well:

They're sorta bluish-green, not really hazel...

My hubby has a lot of green in his blue eyes, but they're darker in hue than Tom's... it's an interesting combination.

My son's eyes are a deep sky blue... gorgeous. I love blue (or even bluish-green ) eyes.
