I agree it was so honest I have suspected forever that people think Tom is kinda a himbo and he faced a certain prejudice because of that. The same thing that has opened doors has made him have to work alot harder to be respected. That's one reason I'm glad he's doing things like directing an episode.
Agreed! I just hope it's a good script. If they gave him an "Ageless" or "Tomb" to direct, I think I'll cry. LOL

Oh, and for the interstellar travelers in the audience...

Zorro? :p

Well that Mo's Blog said that the stories for Smallville were getting really interesting. He posted that when Fragile would have been filming.

Someone else would know better, but I think he is either Lex's stand in or stunt double. He's one of the Smallville crew anyway.:)

Exactly. :)

I soooo want to read that could I have a link please.

James posted an item on a French language web site who had an interview with Glen Winter. He suggested using Babblefish to translate it, which didn't work all that well I found, but here's the interview for those of you interested in it:

Here's what James posted about the interview:

TomWelling.org said:
Glen has some nice things to say about working with Tom; however he also mentions that during the filming of ‘Cyborg’, Tom fell quite seriously ill for the first time in five years of shooting the show:

”During the filming of ‘Cyborg’, Tom Welling fell sick for the first time in five years and we had to stop filming for four days. Because Tom couldn’t work we all had four days off. Tom felt very bad about being sick for the first time in five seasons while I shot my first episode, and I had to say to him: ‘Don’t worry about it, it’s important that you get better.’”

Glen also mentions the usual things, such as Tom working longer hours than the rest of the cast, and still being the same person he was when the show started five years ago. However, of particular interest to me is that as Smallville’s director of photography, Glen notes that his very next task after completing ‘Cyborg’ was helping Tom to prepare for his own directorial debut.

Poor boy, I wonder what was wrong with him. :( I thought he looked pale during that episode. He still did a great job.

Nice of Glen to help him with his directorial debut.

I guess that's what Mo meant when he said the schedule was thrown into disarray recently.

Thanks Triplet.

Do we have a general music video type thread here? If not, we should. LOL

I was perusing YouTube this morning, and MAN... there's quite a lot of SV videos there. Mixed in with the ton of shipper vids, trailers, bloopers, scene excerpts and fully-ripped episodes was this one...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqG71SGHROk

It caught my eye because it was so... um... different. It's 3:15 minutes long and set to the song "Some Kind of Monster" by Metallica. It's a perspective of what Clark would have been like if he became evil instead of good.

I'm telling you guys, we NEED a "Mirror, Mirror" episode of SV. A parallel universe or dream episode where Lex is the good guy and Clark is evil. I think it would be a lot of fun for both the cast and the audience. :D

I wonder if he pays Hans Zimmer to use his music from Gladiator on that web site...

Kinda an obvious choice for a stunt man to make for music, dontcha think?

Kinda cool anyway, thanks Pat.

I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere. If so, I apologize in advance.
Anyway, the latest ish of Sci Fi Channel's Newsletter has a nice interview w/ Welling and Schneider. It's nothing we haven't already heard. Though I thought this bit with TW commenting on a major summer blockbuster would pique a few people's interest:

As you know, Superman Returns will be coming out in theaters this summer. Do you see that as having any impact on the show?

Welling: I wish I had a better answer than "I don't know." [Laughs.] I really don't. We'll have to see what happens. I mean, from what I understand, it's a very huge project. There's everything behind it. It's got everything going for it. We'll have to see.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement, is it?

"There's everything behind it. It's got everything going for it" doesn't sound positive to you?

I think it's just not positive enough.....smiling and having a good time with it. Sheesh, who does Tom Welling think he is? (Knowing damn well SV fans are hanging on his every word?)

:O

Oh look, it's the tag team. Right on cue too. Did the bell go off over yonder or something?

Am I (Or Milkman for that matter) not allowed to make a comment in this thread? What do people expect him to say? Welling's a smart guy. AND he knows a lot of Superman fans will hear his thoughts sooner or later about the project. I applaud him for being a stand up guy about the whole thing.

Amazing how that always happens, isnt it?

Well its just that you rarely pop up in other threads, but when a reference is made to the SR movie, there you are, like you have some sort of SR compass.

Nothing wrong with it, just saying. ;)

I read stuff on this forum all the time. (Cept spoilers, there's your 'in' to do it if you'd like since I don't visit those threads.) ;)

Touche. (Talking about another forum around here and other website for that matter, just reverse the roles) ;)

See, I like Tom Welling. He's a great guy. Seems to always say the right thing, keeps out of trouble, and is just a great role model for kids. But sometimes, people look too much into things. That's all.

Not only that, but I think it's kinda dead around here....that Spidey 3 pic hoopla lasted all of 5 mins. We're all back to lack of news again.

It's okay to stray sometimes into other forums sometimes when that happens. Nothing wrong with it. :)
