Transformers can heal quickly, but they're not Wolverines. I can buy that it's taking longer for half his head to heal back than it would for him to heal from minor gunfire.

I definitely agree on the current look, though. I'm tired of this series' Vader spending half his screen time as a non-threat. Making him look like a hobo doesn't help, which is why the Galvatron rumor sounds a lot more appealing.

I never liked Galvatron. Changing his name was a gimmick that was completely unnecessary. They just needed a new-ish villain for Rodimus.

Hey guys, I was on youtube and found a poster who claimed to have seen a rough draft script of DOTM, here are his youtube comments. He claims he was right about ROTF.

In the new movie Megatron is also a truck for the first part of the film. "He is an outcast, scarred and disfigured from his battle with Prime wearing an old cloak to hide his shame". Megatron is going slowly insane and snags a new body from Unicron. Unicron turns megs into Galvatron, attacks Earth, and both Autobots and Decepticons(with Starscream as leader) will be forced to work together and wake Sentinel Prime on the moon to fight Unicron and Galvatron thus ending the war.

After trying unsuccesfully to convince NEST to give back the stolen tech, Prime decides that Earth is not worth saving and takes the Autobots to Cybertron only to find that Galvatron has marked it for destruction through Unicron. Starscream starts refining the sun's energy through towers NEST has allowed him to build in exchange for weapons. Sentinal Prime was discovered during the first maned mission to the Moon and kept hidden by The U.S.(and later NEST) from even the Autobots.

Shockwave isn't a real Decepticon in the movie. He works for Unicron and helps him rebuild Megatron into Galvatron. After Megatron's Exile Starscream is appointed leader and begins to sell Earth governments cybertronian tech for energy refined from the sun. An international incodent happens and NEST blames it on the BOTS. What angers the Autobots even more is when they discover NEST is buying some of it. Starscream is killed by Galv, the cons unite behind Prime to fight Unicron and win

Sorry, but that sounds like a load of horse****, I cant see Unicron being in this movie at all, we would have gotten some hint about him by now, also, I believe Shockwave was confirmed as a Decepticon quite early on?

I didn't know they made cloaks that large.

It had nothing to do with giving Rodimus and "new-ish" villain, it had to do with the fact that Galvatron was a new toy to be offered in 1986, while Megatron, Optimus (and most of the Autobot cars) were discontinued. In fact the entirity of the first twenty minutes of the movie is to kill or tie-off toys that were not going to be sold the following year(s).

Ever notice how Starscream had a ghost? That's because his toy was continued on through 1986 in the cateloge.

Agreed! It seems fake and if this is the plot of the movie, I may wait for it to come out on DVD then.

So do we actually have a decent picture of the new Megatron?

All I've seen is the toy.

There's a pic of him from the shoulders up on the cardboard for his Cyberverse toy.

I'm calling bullsh** on the Unicron thing. Although Michael Bay has repeatedly said he'd like to use him, the whole thing seems fanboyish. I also remember something similar a while back that claimed they'd be transported to 1984 via time travel.

That description is kinda fake.

I'm very curious why after all the scrutiny behind sentinel primes identity being reveled...they would just show unicron in a trailer unannounced...at the very least they would keep him off screen till the movie a la galactus cloud.

I personally would rather they not release any footage from here on out...they don't need to sell the product at this point and I don't need anymore money shots "spoiled"
(well maybe one more)

The description may or may not be true. I'm down either way. Can't say the fake script was as ambiguous. Half of it had Optimus sitting down, addressing a view monitor. Should've sent big warning signals to whoever was reading that Bay didn't have a hand in it.

Didn't they bring Optimus Prime back in the TV series too?

Did it work?

Nope.

If they done it sooner it might have ....and thats a big if.

By the time they brought back Prime it was too late. Some tv markets had already canceled the show [decided not to buy more] and a good part of the core audiance had out grown the toyline.

They did however syndicate the series for a little while. Used to have a Powermaster Prime toy do the introductions.

The Transformers can "heal", why would Megatron be in shame? Hell, Prime has suffered worse and Bee got his legs blown off.

The truck mode and that cloth look ******ed for Megs. OMFG its ROTF all over again.

This.

Meg's has being getting screwed since TF1; way to go and stick the nail in the coffin, Mr.Bay.

Transformers seem to be able to heal from minor injuries, but the Autobots you mention have Ratchet to repair them. I suppose that doctor thing from ROTF is the Decepticon answer to Ratchet, but it's quite possible Megatron will be an outcast to start off. I don't understand what's wrong with a truck mode either, Megatron's been lots of things at this point even a racecar and a mastadon/hand/dragon/jet (whatever else you could transform RiD Megs/Galv into). The truck mode is an interesting selection, it's a bit like the Motormaster/Nemesis Prime thing which is a fairly popular Transformer thing now a days. I kind of like the cloak too, but that's just me. It's just a more interesting and experimental take on the character than what's usually done, so I can appreciate that.

Poor...deformed...outcast...and cloaked Megatron...!
