With TDKR coming out this week, and tons of midnight showings selling out months ago, what is your plan on getting in line to grab a good seat? Discuss.

I have no idea. I guess I'll show up 3-4 hours in advance.

At midnight the night before, like any sensible Batfan :cwink:

Thirty minutes beforehand.

Since the movie starts in Germany on the 26th, I drive the day after tomorrow to the Netherlands to get my tickets there. They don't dub movies and TDKR stats on the 20th and I won't wait any day longer than that!
So, yeah, I am trying to get tickets five days before. I am not even sure if they sell 'em beforehand in the Netherlands, since they don't do it at every cinema here in Germany, but I googled a few theaters I will be checking out. :woot:

Cannot wait. I still have the stupid fear that I show up and the guy just starts laughing at me, because the tickets are gone since months and there is no way I'll be seeing the movie before its out on BluRay. Nightmares, I tell you.

Reserved seating, so I don't have to get in line. I can come whenever I want. :)

I've also got reserved seating so I'll get their just before it begins probably around 11:50.

Depends. There's a dozen Pathé theaters that are already selling tickets (the big ones like Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Eindhoven).

You don't have to worry about sold out screenings. As far as I know, none of them have sold out yet.

When it's a midnight showing, I always show up two hours ahead. I'll probably show up two hours ahead with the marathon too as it's a big deal as much as a midnight showing.

I'll probably get there about an hour beforehand. The showing I'm attending will be at 10:40 Friday night.

Oh, cool. So you are from the Netherlands then? Nice. Always had just great experience with the Dutch. Really big fan of the country and the people!
I intended to go a cinema somewhere near the German border, like Venlo or Roermond, but I don't have any idea what kind of theaters those are.
I thought about going to Amsterdam to see it in an IMAX (since the closest in Germany is over 600km away), but since I just sold my car to save money I aborted that plan.

I am. I'm seeing TDKR in the US, though. I don't live near the German border so I don't know about the local theaters there. Amsterdam is only worth it for the theater itself IMO (Pathé Tuschinski looks beautiful), since it's not a real 1570 IMAX screen. I hope you find what you're looking for.

So Amsterdam has only Liemax, huh? Shame. I don't even know if the one in Berlin is real IMAX.
Thanks! Wish you a good time in the US of A too!

I cannot believe that its only a week until we all can see it! The last year just went by so fast, its unbelievable! I can't really grasp the fact that this time next week... its all over.
Well, at least until the BluRay comes out. Seeing it for the first time at home is almost as big as seeing it for the first time period!

Booked VIP seats at 9am on friday so prob 15 mins before :)

i plan on watching it on thursday morning, 11 am at my local theatre so I dont think there will be any need to come early, 15-20 minutes before the start probably

Midnight showing at Lincoln Square, probably getting there at 3pm or 4.

I'm going to a 1pm showing, I'll probably get to the cinema at about 11:30

Been here 3 hours so far.

Going to a marathon showing that begins at 6:15 , so I'll probably show up at 4 or 5.

Don't need too, allocated seating. I can rock up 5 mins late and still get the seat I chose.

Got allocated seating as well.

Going to leave 2 hours before hand anyway. Should arrive an hour or so ahead of time.
