This is Fu-king awesome!

Why couldn't the designers on the movie have this much talent and imagination?!

I am so sick & tired of no cool costumes in these movies, and all comic movies. Everything always has to be black leather, and they have to make excuses for why they're wearing something.

We don't need an explanation, they're comic book Superheroes, we know why.

And it doesn't have to be leather it could be another material and just say it's some special material that is actually really strong, like in Marvel how something could look like spandex but instead it's really strong, especially if Reed Richards made it. Not that you have to say he did, they don't explainh who made what in these movies so just go with it and have fun...it is a Comic Book!!!

It's not a big deal, the people that make these comic movies need to stop freakin' out that they're going to make it campy, and just stop being lazy and just make it right and look cool, and make sure you don't make it campy!

Morgoth, dude, that's an altered version of the costume Jean's wearing in the next movie (new color, symbol added, and a higher collar). It's not leather. Let it go.

I know it altered, that's why I said, why can't the people on the movie actually do something that cool. We were robbed of great faithful X-men movies.

When I think of how great the comics are and so much that could've been, it ticks me off!

Sure I'm glad they aren't like Batmman and Robin but that has nothing to do with it, if they had put more imagination and care into it, it would've been bigger and better. It is such a waste of good characters and stories.

Bland costuming does not a wasted character make.

However, I do agree that they could've tried harder with the costumes. Hell, use leather! Just add some freaking color. X-Men: Evolution's costumes had a dark theme, but even those had an iota of creativity.

And I must add: That Valentine-pic just ruled! Simply genius.

wow! there's an example of staying true to the comics yet being realistic. unfortunately, this can only be done for jean because she's not on the team. i would like more individuality in the x-costumes, but rationally, a team has to have some sort of unifying costume or it would just be halloween.

i love how you followed the comic design with the boots, gloves, and the different coloring over the chest/neck region, with the simple idea of making it a layered outfit. however, i dont think the movie could get away with the phoenix logo. but it's fun for a manip.

i do think the movie made the right decision for the red costume. red is just a color that means so much. but your green looks great!

lol those are soooooooo good! i was going to post one i did but mine are just crap....hahahaha. i wish i was that talented.

To be perfectly honest, I think the movies could get away with a Phoenix logo with no trouble. Despite the trend of changing superhero costumes for movies, there's not one movie that's shyed away from logos and symbols. Batman, Superman (insert Superman Returns costume complaint here), and Daredevil all used their logos on their costumes. Hell, even the black leather X-Men costumes have X's splashed all over them. The new Brotherhood has Omega symbols everywhere!

A Phoenix symbol should've been on Jean's costume.

sorry, i meant that particular symbol (from the manip). the x-films have an established look, so to all of a sudden throw in that bright yellow phoenix would be out of place, in my opinion.

yes, there are x's. those actually mean something. the omega symbols are mostly tattoos. batman, superman, and daredevil are all different movies. and multiple man's symbol is just a trendy tshirt.

for her brotherhood costume, the way i see a phoenix symbol working is for it to be some kind of gaudy necklace or something (not unlike the one in x2, but more obvious). since the brotherhood has a gothic/metal/S&M/post-apocalyptic look, this would fit in.

but if you tried to put an obvious phoenix on her black leather x-costume, i think it'd look rediculous.

honestly, i think they could have found interesting ways to incorporate the comic looks. it'd be pretty easy to put anna in a green sweatsuit (girls wear these all the time nowadays) for a mansion scene. or colossus and beast in their speedo costumes (lol). phroaarr!!

i agree with that....(the rogue in green-like in the first one with the green coat) maybe have jean wear a yellow scarf like belt with a greenish outfit (like a casual out fit around the mansion).

beast and colossus with speedos would be sorta pushing it tho haha LOL!

wanted to add to the collection of great work in here. Hope you like. Might do some more at some point.
