Ok, so this is for all the first reactions from playing with the Wii for the first time. The demo units are starting to show up around the world and regular people are getting some hands on time with it.

I have to wait until monday to get my hands on one at the Wii experience tour kicking off at Melbourne Central

I suspect that things will have been tweaked considerably since I last touched one, and I'd love to come back and say "it's way more awesome than it was!"....cuz right now, all I can say is "what did you morons expect BESIDES a twitch left twitch right twitch up setup? virtual reality?".

Hang out around the kiosk when someone is asking questions-$5 says that every other person will ask why the Wiimote is connected to the booth if it's supposed to be wireless. Dumb humans.

Instore units you leave ID with the clerk and they give you the Wiimote to use on the Kiosk. With the Wii Experience events you have Nintendo reps (Hot women in white Wii dresses) running the show so they make sure you dont run away with it

I played the Wii yesterday at the Best Buy that I work for. The rep actually brought the demo unit in the large DO NOT OPEN box last week.But she came back to the store and said she was so impressed with our enthusiasm last week that she decided to treat us and brought a playable Wii along with Excite truck and 2 controllers.We played for over an hour.I cannot tell you how awesome it was. All the Best Buy rumors are true.We had a store meeting this morning about the guidelines. Any employee that buys a Wii or PS3 will have there units tracked.If they are sold on EBay the employee will be fired no questions asked. One unit per customer.If you and a couple of your buddies want one,you can't use the same credit card. No midnight sales,no pre-orders.We cannot reveal when the next shipment will arrive.We really don't know most of the time anyway. Any more questions about Excite Truck or the Wii or Best Buy I'll gladly answer if I can.

Exactly my point. Their "tracking you" is "we're making an idle threat but you're going to believe it". They can't do a thing, unless they're in the market to buy EVERY Wii/PS3 on ebay and run the number against consoles they've sold. Or if your manager knows your ebay name.

As said. No way for them to track you. They'd have to buy EVERY console on ebay, or hope that every ebay consumer were kind enough to report their serial number to them.

If Nintendo can hit their shipment numbers, though, I can't see Wii being a hot item on ebay like the hard to nab PS3s will be. I'd love to slap some PS3s onto ebay myself, but the numbers are so low this time around and I don't have an "in".....

*before anyone whines about "ebay scalpers", realize that the problem is not the sellers....it's the buyers. If people weren't so impatient and stupid, there'd be no profit in such endeavors. If you know someone who buys a console from ebay, seriously-punch them in the testes/ovaries.

I am freaking in love!

Zelda kicks all kinds of ass and Excite Truck is the arcade racing game of doom!

The Wiimote is so nice to hold... Not nearly as big as I thought it was and the Wii itsself is so small.

I took a few pics (I forgot to take anymore once I started playing the Wii ) I will chuck them up soon.
