Seriously, 9.5. Only thing I criticize is that the belt kinda ruins the sleekness of the rest of the suit. Otherwise, it's one of the most comic book accurate costumes out there. Another major plus is that it still looks like it came from Webb's universe.

Love the suit (9/10), especially the eyes. I would improve the tightness of the suit so that it doesn't have loose ends on the neck, and boots. Other than that, simply fantastic.

if they can find a way to have the new eyes (which look perfect) without the need for the facial shell under the mask (which makes spidey's head look bigger), then i'd be all for that as well.

It's a fine costume. But seeing it in the trailer, finally in motion, I can safely say that I prefer the TASM suit. IMO, spidey looked sleek and dynamic. I remember being against the TASM costume the first time I saw the first promo image and set pics. But the trailers for that film eased any concerns and I loved it.

I don't think this costume (this version of the 'classic') has the sleek dynamic look. I wish they had used the TASM suit.

BUT, the trailer for the film looks great. I super excited for this film. My feelings about the costume, good or bad, will not change that

I enjoyed the last suit, thought it was a neat contemporary take on the costume with just the right mixtra of classic elements and new ones. I also thought it there was a few nice nods to the Ben Rielly costume. I initially was disappointed they decided to change the suit so drastically for the sequel.

But after seeing the new suit in action, I agree with their decision. And I love that they kept the new design for the spider emblem on the back, that looks cleeeeean. But the large spider on the front of the new suit looks a little awkward to me, for how big it is I think they should've placed it a little higher on his chest.

Just minor nitpicks, on an otherwise awesomely amazing costume.

It was actually while playing the Amazing Spider-Man game, getting to see the movie suit from all angles in extensive detail, that I realized the suit was not my favorite. I ended up switching to the Raimi suit very often. The ASM1 suit is "Spider-Manesque" the new suit is Spider-Man.

Well said. I forgot that we were all waiting on the official look of the new suit in motion, and here we have it.
I agree with you, the suit doesn't have that sleek look that TASM had (the TASM suit looks great in the car thief scene. Texture and everything.), but I'm content with the final look on screen. I just feel that this suit has way more pros than cons against the first.

Hell no. That's what ****ed up Spidey's image in Raimi's trilogy. There was no scene in SM2 or 3 where you actually would believe that Maguire was under the suit, it was an extremely bulky Spidey. I mean look at this, he looks "Stallonish" (big image, i'll put it on spoiler):

I think so too. I don't like the physique in the raimi films.

They removed the muscle layer in the suit for a reason.

The new suit is pretty perfect. Personally I'd have liked if they retained the colors and textures of the ASM suit, maybe the gloves too. But it's hard to complain about this one. Especially love the eyes.

I enjoyed the first suit because they felt that I can make parts of the suit (mask being made from a red mask and sunglasses, boots being composed of sneakers, etc) and I still do wish the costume will still more of a blend between the first one and this one.it was perfect representation of vigilante Spider-Man as a beginning stage. It did look better in motion/finalized than it did in set picture and merchandise. I like seeing him slowly develop the costume in the hunt for Uncle Ben's killer to hero.

But this suit is fantastic. Looks like Mark Bagley Ultimate Spider-Man/Humberto Ramos Spider-Man in life. This is the perfect Spider-Man costume. This represents his heroic self. I am going to enjoy seeing Andrew as Spidey on the big screen and there is nothing bad to say about it whatsoever and it is the better costume if not the best live action Spider-Man costume.

Each one was a fantastic costume and I have no hate for each one.

Agreed. But it looks like they retain quite a bit from the first TASM suit as well as borrow a few elements from the Rami suit.

If they had gone with this in TASM, I'd have been very happy. But I think the TASM suit has spoiled me (my only gripe was with the leg stripes. But even they grew on me).

The suit in this is way better in motion. It's a fine suit (still think the eyes are too big). But hell, just bring next year round already

Best spidey suit yet. love the eyes, and the folds and wrinkles remind me of alex ross's spidey. my one little complaint is the red on the back of the shoulders that looks like a "M". I'd make it a straight line and throw in a spider-tick. but anyway, ya, its the best spidey costume ever.

It was such an excellent rendition that they threw it all away and redid it completely.

The second suit shows growth.
