True that Moyes has managed to get a poor squad significantly underperforming even their limited abilities while Fergie dragged out the absolute maximum from them. And it's a fair point. I think though if the board supervise the transfers to prevent any overpriced bungles like the Fellaini saga, and they are decent value players it improves the attractiveness of the club to the next manager even if it gives him a bit less flexibility. Now if as suspected the overseers are also incompetent then there's not much hope lol.I agree that the squad was severely overrated, Fergie got miracles out of it IMO and what is really there is starting to be exposed, but Moyes seems to have zapped their will away as well. I think when you want to attract a top manger you need to give him a big budget to work with, we wont be able to do that if we allow Moyes to spend huge first in the hope he can salvage things.
Oh Van between the way you talk and your avvy, I think Ben Affleck should base his Batman on you! "Tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile" you can't get more VP than that!
Great result for you coming back against Bayern at the Allianz! Going to be a tough draw next round but hopefully a sign that you can begin to compete at this level.Gerrard out for 6 weeks, van Persie out for 4 weeks.

Yeah, and further to that the PL is not the best place to get value for money. A manager for a top European club needs to have vision beyond any one league. All eyes are going to be on Utd's transfer activity next summer. Probably the most important in a long time and even thought they've started terribly every extra position higher in the league they can finish will make it that much easier to get foreign players thinking they are still signing for the Utd of old rather than a club that may struggle to get back to the top. That's the big worry, Woodward seems completely inept and I don't think Moyes has the read of the market outside of the PL, I mean his buying criteria seemed to be PL proven players at the top of the list, we need someone who has more vision for us going forward.
3 points down the drain, 3 more to go next week. The title tilt was decent while it lasted. Giroud as our only main striker makes me nauseuos.

He can stay where he is, I don't want him anywhere near. I doubt Real would sell him anyway, as they are short in that department.
I didn't watch the match, but despite the scoreline were we emphatically thrashed and played of the park at almost every instant? All the pundits seems to think so, and I'm wondering if that's the case, or whether it's just them spoutingtheir immense hyperbole and disdain for us.
