Man City 1-1 with Porto at half time, coming back from behind.
Inter 1 up against Borussia Mgladbach.
Bayern 3-0 up - Tolisso with an absolute screamer. You dont save those.
Bayern 4-0. Coman with another. Men against boys.
Ferran Torres shows great composure and sharpness to score City’s 3rd. A 20 year old set up by another 20 year old (Foden).
Bayern made a statement with a 4-0 win over Athletico. Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 and City beat Porto 3-1. Good start for the PL with 3 wins and a draw.
Arsenal on their way to an away victory in Europa League. 2-1 up with few minutes to go.
Yep. Arsenal win 2-1 and Spurs and Leicester both win 3-0. Excellent opening for the PL clubs. 6 wins and one draw.
Bloody madness from Bamford tonight
Honestly reading his Twitter timeline tonight is something else. Absolute hero.
Saint Rashford really is a man of the people isn't he. Legend.
Leeds are on mad one tonight, good bounce back after last week just what they needed and against in form Villa. This is season is not easy to predict and I love it.
Bamford gets a second half hat-trick as Leeds win and go 3rd in the table!
I'm glad 3 of the big teams I wanted to avoid relegation have started really - West Ham, Villa and Leeds.
Klopp: Rashford work transcends Reds-Utd rivalry
But seriously I think there are three worse teams than all of them should all finish out of the bottom 3 some might stay top half with the way this season is going and the way they are playing. Leeds would be my slight favourites to do that but injuries could yet scupper any of them. Bielsa is something else though, he certainly gets a team to be better than the sum of its parts, it would be interesting to see what he could do with a Chelsea or Barca, surely these teams must be looking at him going "hmmm seems decent".
Still Leeds must be happy to have him at least for this season as that should see them safely in the Prem for another term and they can build from that.
West Ham go 1 up against City after an overhead goal from Antonio.
Foden gets an equaliser. 1-1 and now 15 minutes left.
Full time 1-1. Another solid result for West Ham. The unpredictable season continues with City dropping more points.
Palace get 3 points away to Fulham, who look like they are going straight back down.
Pretty poor game between Chelsea and Utd. 0-0 with 10 mins left but at least Cavani is on.
Back to reality this week then, totally flat performance and has to be said Ole got the selection all wrong this week, still cant win at home. Not going to get us very far at this rate in the league being this inconsistant. No urgency or attack plan today, Mata and James aint cutting against the top 6 I'm afraid.
I think 4 points from Newcastle and Chelsea along with a win against PSG would have seemed almost impossible a couple of weeks ago at the start of this hard run. But as ever with recent Utd there seems to be little long term progression.
Yeah its a couple games in the right direction followed by abject display or two. Hard to make real progression with that, Chelsea werent a lot better either but I guess a point is good for them Im not sure, doesnt really help either team in a way.
