Well that West Ham match was a total waste going to. Dreadful performance and deserved to lose, but still a sickener to concede on the way out.

Thankfully Newcastle won big again.

Digne makes it 2-0 we are all over the place so far at the back. Emery getting off to a flyer here.
Oh this is his first game right? Great start for him.

Salah puts Liverpool 1-0 up against Spurs.

I wonder if Pique is trying to pull a reverse Brady and trying to win back Shakira by retiring from fútbol altogether

Great weekend for Newcastle with Liverpool beating Spurs and Chelsea and Utd losing. Up to 3rd now and staying there even if the teams below win their games in hand.

Arsenal showing they will at least be around the top 2 for a good while yet with that performance against Chelsea, who looked poor. Liverpool looked good with Nunez and Salah both seeing better form. Spurs’ habit of conceding first every game is coming back to bite them. Can’t do a comeback in every match.

FC Salzburg v Roma

Crazy to think only one week of games left until the world cup kicks off. Feels very low key at the moment with little hype or interest in it this time of year.

People still focused on the live season. Usually we get a break after the finals before a summer World Cup where hype can build but no time in this case. Must be hard for players who are giving everything for their club in the final game before, and then a few days later could almost be already out of the World Cup with an opening game loss if they don’t switch focus effectively enough.

I'm not gonna watch any World Cup myself. The decision to play it in Qatar and having it in November/December just was the final nail in the coffin for me I think.

There's a few there lucky to be going with the squad given the season they are having *cough* Maguire *cough* but its about as strong as we can get really, Wilson seems to have got lucky with injuries at just the right time for him and Madison is having too good of a season to be ignored.

We might have a chance in the league cup with City and Liverpool facing each other and only Utd left from the top clubs.

Toney puts Brentford 1-0 up against City!

Foden equalises just before half time.

Bloody 10 minutes injury time! Still 1-1 for now.

Toney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2-1 Brentford near the end of injury time.

Incredible result for Brentford and well Arsenal, they really do have a shot at the title now after this, especially if they can win their game. Will set up the second half of the season nicely indeed when it resumes. Haaland really has made City a worse side overall after all the hype. :o

Newcaslte in the mix for the top 4 is going to make the second half of the season potentially a little bonkers. Shame this world cup is getting in the way to be honest.

Amazing result away to City for Brentford. The PL just isn't the easy to predict week to week. Really hope Arsenal can maintain their push.
