Former "Saturday Night Live" head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider are the creative forces behind "The Other Two," a scripted series centered around two siblings desperately seeking their lot in life. Aspiring actor Cary is struggling to land better auditions than "Man at Party Who Smells Fart," while his sister Brooke is simply struggling in general. As they work toward self-improvement, their lives are turned upside-down when their teenage brother Chase becomes an internet sensation overnight.

Just got renewed for S3....SO FUNNY. If you like quirky shows, definitely check it out.

Anyone else watching this? I absolutely love this show. Great characters all around, hilarious absurdist humor and really good queer representation. The new season just premiered yesterday and the first two episodes had me dying.

Yes, yes keep bumping older threads so my Prefixes can consume them in my lust for organization. :o

Late to the party, but just discovered this over this past week and absolutely love it, reminds me a bit of '30 Rock' (if HBO were behind it)

Great episode this week as always, but I particularly just loved the quiet moments of Cary and Pat getting what they wanted with being around their friends and realizing how their lives were better than theirs, but realizing that didn't make them happy.

Just started in on this. The pilot was okay, but the second episode really sold me. The siblings showing up dressed like it’s the Oscars, the red carpet questions, the 11-year-old make-up tutorialing herself into her thirties, Ken Marino in general. All gold.

“Okay yas, drag my dirty hands, daddy.”

S2 is off to a helluva start.

They've done this Season 1, but I love how the episode titles sometimes have little to do with the main plot of the episode. Like how this recent one was something like Cary Pays His Student Loans, yet that actual moment is less than a minute in an episode where his actual plot is about trying to win an Oscar!

Or the episode titled Brook Goes to Space or something like that, and both scenes are less than a minute long!

Yeah, it's confusing. On one hand, I'm upset that its ending. From its first season on Comedy Central, the show has been hilarious and it really hit its stride on HBO Max. Really, with how screwy the entertainment industry is, this could've gone on for years. So it's strange. Some outlets say it's cancelled, others say it's a natural ending.

It is odd timing that, the day before the finale, the news of these complaints drop. But at the same time, you've got Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider saying "this is where we wanted to end their stories." Feels like we're getting two different stories.

Very appropriate to the show though

Oh yes, there's something deliciously ironic when a show sending up the entertainment industry ends up having its creators becoming what the show mocks.

This seemed Series Finale-ish. So i would believe the creators chose to end it

Yeah, there's definitely a feeling of finality to it, even if it does feel very abrupt, as if the show just came to a screeching halt after tying up things. To be fair, not like there were a ton of dangling plot threads since the series does focus mostly on the family and not random side plots. So in that way, yes, it did wrap everything in a neat bow and give the family some happiness.

Just felt very abrupt when, I say this selfishly, there's a lot more skewering of the industry that the series could've done since it the writing never felt stale. Regardless, a great series that I'm happy got a second wind after HBO Max picked it up from Comedy Central.

Just finished S3. If not for the credits tease of Brooke back-sliding, I’d say that was enough closure to count as an unambiguous series finale.

Both Drew Tarver and Helene York deserve Emmy noms.
