Okay, I know I'm going to start sounding like Hoffman in Spider-man 3 here, but I was just hit with this profound epiphany as I was cleaning up my nephew's toys from his toybox. You see, this kid has a slight dinosaur fetish and, well I bought him this little $5 T-rex toy that came in an egg which you assemble at Wal-Mart last week. As I'm looking at it's head, I was thinking that this look would be perfect for a live action Lizard, with a little bit more green of course and yellow eyes with slit pupils. Now bear with me here because instead of taking a picture with a digital camera which has been MIA for quite awhile now I had to use my scanner so the image is a little dark, but you can still clearly see the features of the face pretty well.

So....tell me what you think.

Interesting. I like the idea. The Lizard will be interesting (to say the least) in how he will be interpreted visually. With that toy, I'd say if the head was thinned a bit, making it more narrow (like a gator snout, but not quite as flat) and the mouth looked a bit fiercer (it's a kid's toy I guess, that explains the smile) it would be perfect. I guess I'm looking for a more lizard-like (as opposed to a dinosaur, if that makes any sense) appearance, considering Connors works with lizards that exist today. I'm not sure if that holds any logic, I'll leave that up to you.

Oh, I'm sorry. The mouth is kind of crocodilian. I just pulled out the bottom jaw to give you guys a better look at the teeth and whatnot. I wish I had a digital camera so that I could give you all a better look. What you cannot see very well are the plated brow ridges above the eyes and the plated crest on the top of its head. I apologize for the poor quality but it's the best I have.

P.S. Well, all these reptiles and birds did descend from the dinosaurs, so a Saurian look isn't all that too farfetched.

Personally, I've always pictured Lizard looking like three things:

A) A Velicoraptor

B) Like a giant crocodile

or C) A combination of many reptiles and amphibians. He could have camoflague-instinct like a chameleon, a high-def perception like an aligator, spikes all over it's hide and body like a horntailed lizard, running speed of a frilled lizard, the leap of a frog, and acid tongue and spit of a gila monster.

Thumbs wwwwwaaaaaayyyyyy down!

Besides i think this is the direction they'll be going in, hence the SM3 toyline:

I want him to look like he does in the new SM3 action figure or as in the 90s cartoon.

I got that Lizard toy because I liked the look so much so I want Lizard to look something like that

Yeah, i really like the Lizard toy look too, and i think it would be stupid if they changeg his look for SM3 after having released this toy....but the again, they'll want to sell more toys when the movie comes out, so maybe a modified version of this one is the direction they'll go in...who knows.

I can't wait to see him go toe to toe with Spidey. I've always dreamed of an awesome underwater/sewer fight between him and the Wall crawler on the big screen.

yeah a underwater fight would be awesome does any one have a pic of the Lizard that was going to be in Spider-man 2?

I'd love to see the footage from SM1 of the original Doc Connors firing Peter, and more importantly the scene of the original actor who portrayed Eddie Brock before Topher Grace.

Wait, they had someone casted for him? I know someone says "Eddie's been on it all week" in reference to getting a picture of Spider-Man. Kinda strange that Raimi included Eddie even though he didn't like the Venom character.

Yea they did, it was some unknown actor. His scenes later got cut out obviously.

now, here's the Perfect Look for the Lizard
LOL

Well, Ultimate Lizard is a little too much. There seems to be a lot going on that could make it a lot of work in CGI (Maybe not, what do I know...). I like the look of the New Animated Series Lizard, but he needs the lab coat to truly be The Lizard.

the MTV Lizard looks alot like Godzilla from the 1998 film, i prefer the classic look

I'm just saying that I like the modern versions of the character, the ferocity and the more dinosaur-like quality.

I never really liked the Lizard when he maintained too much of his humanity - he should be an utter beast when he transforms so it's more shocking to see him like that after we're so used to him being a kind, gentle mentor figure to Peter.

He should have the frills, the spines on his back, the lashing tongue and claws but I do agree that he should also have the lab coat, torn to shreds on his body - thats a design classic.

I say no to the dinosaur/velociraptor look because he's a LIZARD-man not a dinosaur man.

Also - No to anything to much like an alligator or crocodile. Dr. Connors didn't experiment with crocs because they can't grow their tails back like lizards.

The Lizard should have 5 fingers and 5 toes because real lizards - like humans - have that number of fingers and toes.
