Yes, they deserve a thread for love or hate. They were just....there. I don't even...

I was concerned that they would overuse them, but I thought they were there the right amount.

If you morphed Puss in Boots from Shrek with one of the Penguins of Madagascar, that's what you would end up with.

I was confused about how little they were in there.

I get they're there to sell toys, but they were just such non entities...

Didn't bother me, but I was kinda confused walking out.

They were cute and they added to the film without taking away. I'm quite surprised but they deserve their spot in Star Wars

Loved these guys. They’re what the Ewoks should have been... cute little aliens that will sell a lot of toys but don’t factor much into the main plot.

Exactly!

The scene with the Porgs [blackout]guilting Chewbacca as he ate one[/blackout] is hands down the funniest scene in the movie. Great job.

I liked the progs but I also never had a problem with the eworks either but the progs where even better has they didn't have a impact on any thing really unlike the eworks and where just there.

I found the Porgs a wee bit distracting during
the Millennium Falcon scenes flying through the caves on the planet Crait, when Chewbacca was swatting them away.

But they weren't so in your face throughout the movie as I (and many) feared. And they were a little piece of Luke's new home.

They did nothing for me. I didn't hate or love them, but it was slightly annoying hearing their screeching in practically every Ahch-To scene.

Bought one today for my daughter for Christmas....you push on his belly and he hollars and waves his wings.

Yeah that was great. :funny:

I'm shocked they put the scene where Chewie cooks a porg in there. A lot of kids are probably going to grow up not liking Chewie because of that.

I honestly thought that scene was a little... morbid? I would have personally left that one out. They were however just the right amount of cute to not be annoying or distracting.

They need to learn how the world works.

My daughter is 11...she loves all animals to an extent that drives me nuts....she thought that scene was hilarious.

They were fine. A lot of comedy relief, like the droids in the OT.

I was fine with them. They didn't really bring that much for me but they didn't ruin anything either.

They need to learn how the world works.

Having a kid-friendly character cook a kid-friendly creature while the creature's friends/family stares in shock with teary eyes isn't teaching kids how the world works, it's just bizarre. I don't think it's going to condition kids to the idea of eating animals for food, if anything it's going to make them more revolted by the idea.

It might make the kid think what they're eating next time they have a burger!
