The Portmanteau Thread

Portmanteau: a combination of two (or more) words or morphemes, and their definitions, into one new word.

Basically, this is a thread for us to use to either make up new words (to describe other Hypesters or just in general) or post neologisms that we've heard of or think interesting. Yeah, this is a more "intellectual" type thread, but I think the Hype is a pretty intelligent place.

Give it, define it, put it in a sentence.


Ludicrulous- ludicrous+ridiculous; absurd hilarity to the point of disbelief.

Sometimes, ETM is just plain ludicrulous.

I think a more appropriate word would be melodramadivic.

Melodramatic + diva; exaggeratedly emotional, but with a "diva"-type attitude.

Sawyer is so melodramadivic.

My step brother also showed me the Mega Evolutions for the next Pokémon game, and I'm underwhelmed with the names.

Mega Charizard? Really?

So I came up with Charmegazard.
