What kind of jedi do you guys envision Leia to be in the movie, if they show her as one: Equal to Luke? not as good as him, but still powerful? or even more powerful than Luke? It would be awesome if we saw a very powerful Leia in terms of the force growth. I admit, i have the idea of her more as a politician than jedi because of EU, so it would be surprisingly cool to see her a very strong force user, like Luke.

She's still Anakin's offspring, so she has the potential to be pretty powerful. It all has to do with the training and discipline she's had over the years. Luke has only been training seriously for one year (ESB-RotJ), so it's not like he has a huge head start.

I'd like to see Leia in some kind of Lightsaber dual (primarily because I've always wanted to see that.:woot:),but I can see her using the Force the way Yoda did in TESB,to do some awe-inspiring feat.I don't think I'd care to see her using the Force in battle-throwing things and whatnot.

I think i want to see her a very powerful Force user, not so much a lightsaber duelist. In fact, i wouldt be surprised if we dont see Luke and Leia involved in lightsaber duels at all. I think the dueling mantle will be passed to the new blood that will be featured. But of course that's just speculation and we could be seeing Luke and Leia go crazy fighting left and right, cause i dont know squat about this :hehe:

She looks great. I just wish she never got her lip job. She was fine already.

To be real, the new films are not going to revolve around the old big 3. For carrie's case assuming she's up to film at all, I really only see a glorified cameo at this point?

I have a feeling that only Mark's role has been beefed up, not the other two. I'd image Episode 7 is about Luke and his son mostly. Harrison has aged drastically in the past 4-5 years since Indy 4. His posture is getting bad.

Carrie is a little unpredictable. I don't know if she can handle a long shoot like this, so yeah, i think her role is smaller than what we think it is.

It's been thirty years, so Leia should be a Jedi Master by now.

I never really pictured Leia to do the whole Jedi thing. Maybe Luke taught her the basics or something, but I have a hard time imagining Leia as a full-on Jedi Knight, never mind a Jedi Master.

It would be cool if Leia was Chancellor of the New Republic.

Yes. She was never near Luke, but she showed herself capable with the Force and even had a Lightsaber.

I see her more as a politician. I'd like her, if any jedi training is included for Leia, not equal to Luke. I'd say, having some training in the force and lightsaber and something she uses only in extreme situations.

Carrie Fisher's famous mom, Debbie Reynolds (82), said her daughter dropped 40 pounds as she readies to reprise her role as Princess Leia in the new “Star Wars” movie.
"She’s very excited about it," Reynolds told Extra. "She’s been on a diet ever since, because you know they have to be up to par, so she looks terrific." Your move, Han Solo.

It would be cheesy and on the nose. She can still be 'one with the Force' and not be a Jedi.

Fisher kept revealing she was in the movie when Hamill and Ford were keeping dutifully quiet, so if there's anyone from the cast that Abrams is worried about spilling the beans, it's probably Fisher.

Maybe they're threatening her with the return of Jabba the Hutt's kin to keep her quiet. ;) :o
