Apparently, May 21st the rapture is supposed to happen? er..if you google May 21st rapture, you'll find a LOT of articles about it. It was on a few local news channels here, I wouldn't be surprised if Fox decided to mention it. Its just a little...odd.

From what I recall reading some months back, some "religious" (< very sarcastic air quotes) guy with an unfortunate amount of time and followers claims that there was yet another "secret code" in the Bible which dates the rapture as May 21st.

It doesn't take a scientist to know that its BS, and it doesn't take a religious scholar to say the same thing. Hell, even THE BIBLE itself says that NO ONE knows, or is able to know when the Rapture will happen until it happens. Even then, scholars are wishy-washy as to what exactly will occur, as Revelations is full of imagery and suggestion.

I put this guy and his followers in the same category I put the Hailey's Comet nut jobs. May 22 will come around and these people will be forgotten.

TECHNICALLY you're all wrong...the Rapture is fortold in the biblical sense as God taking the true believers and followers of Christianity from the Earth before the 7 years of Tribulation start....they're suppossed to literally meet Jesus in the air ( 30,000 feet?) where they're taken to Heaven,soul AND body intact,to spare them the horror's and trials to come...

Some morons back in February 1986 killed themselves because they thought the world was going to end because of Halley's Comet. I just hope the same doesn't happen now, because absolutely nothing will happen on May 21st. Nothing End of the World related anyway.

The rapture is said to be when the true believers are taken to heaven. Disappearing from the world. While leaving the unbelievers here on earth during the supposed "hell on earth" times. There's been movies made. I remember the 70s movies, then the more popular kirk cameron movies left behind series.
