I am glad he fought for the bridge sequence being put at the end and not having the final battle in Washington D.C. I wish he had the freedom to make these changes without asking, but he definitely had a positive influence on the final product.

fought for the bridge sequence? but not giving cyclopse a bigger role?!? BULL S.H.I.T that is!

Exactly. Also the writers saying that Rogue will kick ass in this movie, but we all know what happened. What a total lie.

Yes, he fought for that because its placement in the movie was more important than Cyclops. I doubt studio politics would have allowed for a bigger role anyway.

I remember the bridge was already in the second act of the script.

Yes, but moving it to the third act required a script rewrite and completely changing the end of the movie. That is a bigger deal than how much screen time one character gets.

I think that's bs and if there is an X4 and beyond i kinda don't want him to be the director just cuz I want f'ing Sentinels and it doesn't look like we'll get them with his outlook. And why use Trask then, why couldn't Duke's character have a different name and serve the same purpose in the script and then they could still use Trask in future movies and stay true to the comic character. Instead they waste yet another character. I'm still really looking forward to this movie but that pisses me off.

Sure it requires script rewrite, but they still used the same ideas as would be in Washington DC. Who knows..The Sentinel could have been in the final battle.
It's not about how much screen time one character gets, but about how they were treated in the movie. I personally would have liked to see less of Wolverine. Also I'm complaining about how the writers were leading us in the wrong direction by saying that so and so did this, but in the actually movie, we don't get to see that.

wtf? the bridge scene is not more important then cyclopse! they could have taken a boat or a plane over there if you think about it, or just had jean fly them all over like peter pan.

a special effect can never be more important then a great well written charactor, it just isnt, charactors are better then effects, with out charactors then there would be no movie

I agree. Putting Trask in the movie without having him launch sentinels is a complete waste and swift kick in the balls to any sentinel fan.

Stop turning every single friggin thread into a Cyclops rant! Just STOP!

That's what happens when you kill off a character that's been around longer than most of the pricipals in the movie, save for Xavier, Jean, Beast, Bobby and Angel.

seriously... i have no idea, as I'm sure neither do others about what interview this is; is there a link to this? thanks a lot.
