I couldnt find a thread for this one so I decided to make one. Anyone watch the premiere? Im so glad they went back to a more laid back cast this season after the spring break Cancun season, which I skipped. So far the entire cast are winners. Im really liking all the cast members so far. Ty came off as a *****e but if he can tone that down a bit, he'll be alright. I thought Josh was going to be gay and was surprised when he wasnt. Andrew is wierd but he's such a great and fun cast member. Im sure he'll lighten the place up. Early faves so far are probably Emily and Ashley. Anyone else think Ashley looks like Johanna and Ty like Alton? I kept thinking of those two when watching.

Anyways, I hope this show doesnt get too political but they cant skip that being that they are in DC. I just hope they dont overdo it. Overall this season looks like its going to be a good one

As I've always said, they had to have figured that the Brooklyn season was a gamble, going for a more low-key group of roommates, and pretty much leaving them to have to do their own things and not create too many situations where they're all together and acting the fool. It didn't seem orchestrated to be a big old orgy, and figured they might lose viewers, and did Cancun just in case, only to see that people actually really liked the Brooklyn season.

I hope this is a sign of MTV realizing that viewers actually prefer the more subdued, back-to-basics approach to the show, rather than picking some party city and getting the most extreme versions of the "types" of people we usually see on the show.

It's so bizarre seeing these castmates all excited to see DC and the sights that I guess I've always taken for granted.

The black guy is pretty cute...the other guys, not so much. I really expected Josh to be gay, too. And Havok, I do think that Ashley looks like Johanna!

It is rather hilarious for someone like me, who lives in the DC/Metro area, to see these people totally geek out over being in DC. I feel like even without the benefit of ever having been to DC, I can't imagine anyone finding the city THAT mystifying, because it isn't. The whole "We're in DC, where our voices will be heard" thing was especially hysterical. :hehe:

Ty infuriates me. He just really irked me with his whole thing of trying to convince a person of faith that God doesn't exist, and that basically anyone who follows religion is narrow-minded, not realizing how narrow-minded he sounds! :cmad:

As for the other guys not "good looking" enough, that's great, I think! Must every roommate be an underwear model? I actually like that they look rather normal for the must part (A few thicker ladies would be nice, though!).

Why he got to be the black guy? What, he ain't got no name?! :cmad:

You expect me to remember everyone's names already? So far, he's the black guy. There's also the blonde girl and the bisexual guy :o

Isn't that how they're always remembered on this show anyway?

Even the other roommates are like, "Where's the hot black guy with big muscles?!?" I'd have more sympathy for him if he wasn't such a *****e. It might change, but a clip from a future episode with him pinning Emily to the wall screaming "Look at me, b****!!!" doesn't really inspire confidence. And I have to believe she has good reason for saying that she'd cut his nuts off.

So not only is he an athiest, he's violent as well. Middle America will just love him.

Ty is from Baltimore too. So he's already familiar with DC.

Wait.

A native, headstrong, dark-skinned heathen suddenly surrounded by white people who have come from far off lands.

I feel like this has happened a few times before.

Wonder how it went. :awesome:

Looks like the return of the Angry Black Man.

when will this re-air? i didn't know it already started. this might be the first season i was in a long time

MTV reairs its shows all the time throughout the week. Just go to their website or TVguide.com. OR you could just watch it online like I did, bc they also stream their shows through their site

Next week should be interesting. Play fights on the RW are always dangerous...SOMEONE always takes it too far.

Okay, why are the girls mad at Andrew for wanting to get some touch?! Obviously, the blonde chick doesn't want anything to do with him, so he took the hint and moved on! Now they all wanna be mad at him for bringing home some chick and gettin' kissy-kissy on in the hot tub?!? And WHY is there a camera so people can see what's going on in the hot tub from inside?!? That's just some ol' bulls**t!!! Man ain't never known the warmth of the va-jay-jay, and y'all wanna c-block?!?! Don't none of them hoes wanted anything to do with him, now they all mad that he got chicks wantin' to get with him?!?

I don't like how the pudgy blonde girl flat out said they were only friends, but the second he gets some action, she's all, "well, if he really liked me, he wouldn't do that, so now I know he was just lying and won't let things go anywhere." Ummm, why shouldn't he move on if you said you didn't like him in that way? ***** :down

i saw this episode

andrew reminds me of that annoying little brother of one of your friends. the one that's always around when the girls are hanging out

This always seems to happen on RW.

Guy likes girl in the house, girl is not interested because he's a great "friend", he's says "**** it, I just have to go outside the house", actually does get a girl then suddenly the girl (or the other girls for that matter) talk **** about him and usually the girl he's with.

Don't get me wrong, Andrew is kind of like that, but I attribute that to the fact that he's still young, doesn't have much luck with women, and is still trying to get his footing in that regard.

But the bottom line is, if you're brushing him off, you have no right to get mad once he succeeds in gettin' his mack on with someone else. You didn't want him in the first place!
