Good. Thought the euphoria was getting to me.

And, I am holding back a bottle of pre-fire Evan Williams single barrel for the day, but that is to let it age a bit more to celebrate with.

I hate to say this, but might we have to consider that the Cubs of Chicago are responsible for this, by proving the impossible is possible? :loco:

Personally I was expecting that nothing would occur or even pick up again until well into 2018. I'm happy to be wrong in this case if a deal is made.

It would be nice I think if not too long after Infinity War's trailer we got news that Marvel got back the cinematic rights to their characters.

I come in peace. I'm all for FF & X-MEN returning. Can't beat em join em

I'd think it will be many months minimum before any deal is made or announced.

I've always felt Disney was the most serious bidder and a lot of noise we've been hearing lately may very well have been related to Fox trying to get Disney to be more serious.

If so, hopefully that worked and things will get moving, but I still think a deal of this size will take a long time to work out (though hopefully a lot of the details have already been worked out and they're just down to deciding how many shares will be involved), but still, under the best of circumstances, I think we'll be waiting a while.

The hype for IW trailer is crazy! They even have a teaser for the teaser! How insane is that!?

Just see the IW trailer...omg!

The IW trailer was underwhelming but by God that goatee on Cap was marvelous (pun intended).

Now I have huge reservations about X-Men but words cannot describe how happy I am for Fantastic Four. My first introduction into superheroes my first love of superheroes! The idea that they may one day be done justice makes me teary eyed. That's the biggest silver lining in loosing some of the X-Men's "edge" (my favorite superheroes).

You have lost all credibility now. You have none! :argh:

We know that Disney put in an offer, that offer was rejected, and then FOX went out to get competing bids from Comcast, Sony and Verizon before sitting back down with the Mouse. I certainly seems like the deal is all but done.

Yeah, Disney's behavior right now is very reminiscent of past acquisitions. They need to strike hard and fast, and by all accounts appear to be doing so.

This is very good news. Both sides are playing the game. Its only a matter of time now. Them being back at the table means there are a few details to hammer out.

And we can finally close this thread for good.

Or shown I'm not a mindless hive mind zombie?:oldrazz:

Also that's all you got from my op?

Is it really necessary to offend people? These movies just have an almost universal appeal, doesn't mean we are all mindless zombies...

Saw Lauren Schuler Donner saying she'd be glad to have the X-men in the mcu. I have to think this is a public signal that it's a real possibility and she is letting Marvel know she would like to be included.

It also doesn't mean I loose credibility for thinking it wasn't as good as I hoped it to be. See the hypocrisy with that? Also I was clearly being facetious.

Anyway back to the point of this thread. I wonder how the heck they are going to integrate the FF into the Marvel CU.

I've felt like this would definitely be happening as soon as it was announced that FOX was negotiating with half a dozen different companies, signifying a sale would happen and with Disney having the most to gain from the purchase. It's interesting to hear that it's "moving fast", though. I figured it'd take a good year or so before they banged it out to the point where an official announcement would be made. Maybe it still will.

Thats the million dollar question. I have my theories but a lot of it really depends on what happens in the IW films and the impact left on the MCU. What will be the aftermath. FF would be introduced after all this happen.

What about the FF? Is there something in the trailer?

That is the impression I had as well. The fact she even spoke up about it too is rather interesting. Most companies really don't want their employees to speak publicly about rumors or speculation, and in this current environment even more so.

Who should they cast as the new X-Men and the Fantastic Four? Should they just get Hugh back?

I think they should go for a more comic accurate Wolverine this time. Go with the costume. Also get someone who's short. Wolverine is 5'4 right? What about Frankie Muniz? He's 5'5

Can anyone photoshop some claws on this picture
