The Rebooted "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) Thread - - - - Part 13

Thats the million dollar question. I have my theories but a lot of it really depends on what happens in the IW films and the impact left on the MCU. What will be the aftermath. FF would be introduced after all this happen.
Kevin Feige has always maintained that they have contingencies if they got certain rights back. He hasn't failed us yet, so I am inclined to trust him on getting them in there if they can get the rights back quickly enough.

How poetic it would be for the FF to appear in Avengers 4.

How would you guys feel about Charlie Hunnam as Wolverine?

Honestly they should just get Hugh Jackman back. He said he'd do it.

Saw Lauren Schuler Donner saying she'd be glad to have the X-men in the mcu. I have to think this is a public signal that it's a real possibility and she is letting Marvel know she would like to be included.

she will be shown door.except for possable meangless executive producer credit she won't be involved.

so she just signaled she wants X-men cinematic universe to end.

they aren't bringin back star of rivial studio films when feige reboots x-men.noone from any film in x-men cinematic universe will be involved with x-men films once disney buys fox.

I'll bet anything that Reynolds stays on after this deal goes through. It's logical. Deadpool will even make a meta joke about the universe change. Bet on it!

no reynolds is not coming back.deadpool will be rebooted once sale is final and final nail is put to x-men cinematic universe.why people think otherwise is beyond me.r rated deadpool by feige lol keeping star of 2 fox films in same role just no.

Yeah right dude

You do realize the very nature of Deadpool allows for him to change universes right? He breaks the fourth wall all the time

That would be clear grounds for a lawsuit for all the franchise contracts they just dumped. Bet on it!

Yeah right. Reynolds will stay on. Pretty much a guarantee. They'll write up a new contract for him.

No to hunnam. I like the guy more than most people do. But he ain't right for wolverine.

I 100% agree with you. If Deadpool joins the MCU, no way will they replace Reynolds, especially if DP2 is going to be the success it looks to be. DP can easily be explained away, even have the SHIELD helicarrier in it. X-men, they will definetly be replaced. The way that universe is all messed up, they have to.

how so? who would sue? Fox wouldn't be around any longer

Yup, and the contracts with the actors don't mean that the studios have to use them. The contracts between studios and actors are just guarantees that the actor will make themselves available if the studio wants to use them, and contains the terms for that appearance (such as how much they will be paid). Its a promise that the actor will work for the studio, not a promise that the studio will use the actor if they don't want to.

I don't have time for dissertation please watch this I feel he's the only person who knows how these things actually work.

Armin is literally the last person who knows how these things work.

Contracts are contingent on a variety of things. They can be subject to review in light of major changes, such as ownership, if those clauses exist. Also, Marvel can simply choose to do nothing and just let those contracts run out. Unlike Fox they wouldn't be required to make a film as there would be no danger to the rights reverting.

Fox would be a division of Disney. Unless Disney manage to dissolve Fox and move all production of Fox films to Touchstone, contracts have a good chance of still being valid. Sheridan, Shipp, McPhee, Turner and Munn all have an additional film on their contract for a film after Dark Phoenix. New Mutants cast have two additional films on their contract and Reynolds has two additional films as well with Deadpool 3 and X-Force. and there wouldn't be talk of Disney talking to "big name" actors to return who are likely McAvoy and Fassbender.

Tatum hasn't even become Gambit yet so it's likely that he'll stay on. I don't see a reason to get rid of the current cast even if continuity is wiped.

Honestly, DP really doesn't need an explanation. Having him randomly show up in the MCU would actually fit his character.

Can you imagine the reaction he would get if he showed up after Avengers 4, after the work is done, ready to fight? Typical Deadpool.

They would get rid of them as having the Fox-Men cast in the MCU would be confusing to the audience, it would imply to the audience that the old films were also a part of the MCU.

If I remember the Director of Incredible Hulk said that his perfect Betty Ross would have been Jennifer Connelly but he couldn't use her as it might make the audience think that the film was a sequel to the Ang Lee Hulk.

Thanos monologue about how nobody is left to stand against him, and Deadpool just shows up out of nowhere. Audiences would go nuts if such a thing were to happen.

It would be quite the moment.

but.. that video makes the same point: Deadpool would continue. Without anyone suing

At least he is able to back his statements with actual information about how logically contracts would be negotiated vs fanboy wishful thinking.

I agree with your second part, however, this isn't just a nothing deal these are multiple million dollar contracts that actors agents that are in development of properties aren't just going to give up. They would have grounds for lawsuits especially if said company picked and chose what properties it wanted to and not to continue. Them rebooting a franchise but using the same actor would muddy the business decision enough for there to be grounds to do so.

yeah reynolds will stay on after both his films are thown out:whatever:

of course cast will be done if countunity is wiped.that always happens.there is only one more film with cast introuduced in apocalypse after dark phoenix.their 3 film deals started with apocalypse.

you really think feige is going to produce r rated films like a third deadpool,x-force,x-23.and x-men film without xavier:whatever:

gambit film would likely be axed once sale happens

^is exactly what Armin does in a large portion of his videos.

Highly unlikely. Actors' contracts get released, bought out, or canceled all the time. It is actually commonplace. Recasts also happen all the time for a variety of reasons. Canning the entire X-Men casts due to change of ownership is not grounds for a lawsuit. The new owner has every right to review and cancel projects as they see fit. Actors get released to pursue other projects.
