I wonder if they'd do the same thing with Spider-Man theme in the Marvel opening with the Fantastic Four.

Boy does the 90's opening make me cringe

I can see them doing a very cool updated version of the 60's cartoon opeining theme

I have to admit the 05 films theme is pretty good. Shame that the film isn't as good as the theme.

The Spidey theme was iconic, neither of these really are, but I do love the 60's FF series. Still one of my favorite Marvel animated series.

That 90's theme is downright embarrassing.

I don't think any hero has a theme as iconic as the Spider-Man one. I just think it would a cool little homage. Also, the 60's one is pretty cool and I could see it being a pretty awesome theme for an FF film if it's updated.

It would be a cool homage, just more of an "inside baseball" type of thing for the hardcore's as opposed to the Spidey theme which most people know.

Sony is so desperate. I would have LOVED to see Venom as the villain for the third MCU Spider-Man movie and I would have loved to see the Symbiote in Infinity War

We all do. Which is why it sucks that much more. And it prolongs the possibility of seeing it in the MCU Spiderman because Fiege clearly dont want to retread ground other studios cover already. There is no approach of Venom I want to see until he shared screentime with the current definitive Spiderman.

I LOVE the 2nd opening of the 90s Cartoon, to me, that's the FF theme.

I don't know about that. The 1960's Adam West Batman theme is up there. And you're nuts if you don't think the John Williams Superman theme isn't as, if not more iconic.

That is true. I should have said "one of the most iconic".

The MCU Fantastic Four theme should be done by Michael Giacchino who also did the score for the Incredibles(the best FF film). Giacchino already has done the scores for both Doctor Strange and Spider-Man so the FF should be the next natural step.

His Incredibles score is awesome and something like it would fit the FF like a glove.

Yeah, the music does work well.

... but even so, I don't want any variations used in a future film because I want to start fresh and not be reminded of any of the Fox films.

If the Marvel didn't reuse the Danny Elfman's Spider-Man theme for Homecoming then there's zero reason to reuse Ottman's score for the MCU Fantastic Four film.

I would never want them to reuse it, I agree that we need no reminders of the previous films. I'm just noticing some good things (which are very few) from the previous films now that the team is potentially free from Fox.

It's okay but sounds like a minor version of "Roll out the barrel".

I was doing the same thing. Now that I don't have to worry about Fox screwing it up again, I was re-watching the old movies without the anger, fear and frustration of potentially getting another one.

And music was one of the things I noticed as being a highlight. Silver Surfer was also a highlight, and I liked a lot of Johnny's flamed-on scenes (though they did seem a little dated).

Really? I thought they dropped the ball with him. They nailed him down visually but that voice...just didn't fit. Fishbourne's deep baritone voice doesn't fit the passive, detached character of Silver Surfer(it does fit Galactus, which he should've been casted as). Norrin Radd should've been given a more dispassionate, monotone voice to really convey his otherworldly disinterested nature. They cast a great actor in Doug Jones and treated him like David Prowse on Star Wars and just dubbed him over with another actor which was a big mistake.

The 90s TAS theme for X-Men comes pretty dang close

I never thought a discussion forum about the possible rights reversion of Marvel characters would talk about the Comcast/AT&T business.
You kind of have to pay attention to the wider world to get a better idea as how the rights might end up in play.

I hate the fact that Sony is making these BS garbage Spidey spinoffs like Venom.
I get why they are, but at the same time they aren't realizing that there is far more potential for them to do damage to the brand.

I'm very excited all around to see what can be done with the FF. From top to bottom there is so much potential for the FF that has been held back by being in Fox's possession for so long.

I was focused more on the visuals, capabilities etc. The chase scene with Torch and the scene in which he absorbs the missiles were pretty cool.

I didn't hate the voice, but didn't love it either. I think it's tough because almost no voice would sound right.

I'm just imagining the possible awesome flying scenes with Johnny. Marvel hasn't got to cut loose with flying heroes yet and they could do that with Johnny.

Just real superpowers in general are somewhat sparse in the MCU. It struck me when I was watching Civil War how easily they neutered the Avengers by simply taking their weapons away. Iron Man, War Machine, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Falcon are basically all just well-armed. Black Widow, Captain America and Black Panther have skills and capabilities, but they're not really superhuman.

Having teams like the Fantastic Four and X-Men composed of members with really spectacular powers will open up some cool new possibilities for the MCU, and I'm hoping to see visuals beyond anything we've seen in either Marvel films (who haven't had the characters) or Fox (who haven't had the imagination).

I love the idea of ILM working on Fantastic Four and X-Men movies under Marvel/Disney.
