Nah, I think with Scott Summers you need a strapping, tall, Captain America type to play him. He’s the OG field leader of the X-Men for a reason, he should be physically imposing.

Cavill could be a good mutant antithesis to Cap.

Cavill would be a good get for the MCU but not for Scott Summers. They need to go younger than Cavill imo. Cap probably won't be around come time for Scott's introduction either way.

I could see him as Captain Britain, Mr. Sinister or the Sentry as a fun meta knock at him playing Supes

With Ezra Miller likely out, Cavill won't be far behind. I could see him finding his way into the MCU very soon.

Oh, Cavill isn't playing Superman again. I'm sure of that. I just don't see him joining the MCU. I'd be cool with it depending on the role, but I can't picture it happening

If Cavill did play Cyclops, he'd think he's going to finally be the leader of a team. Then he finds that he gets pushed to the side or dies, and wonders why it feels so reminiscent.

Lawrence Fishburne is already in the MCU so I don't see what would keep him away

I think most of the time Cyclops is depicted as pretty buff in the comics. Plus I think Cavill only trains that hard for Superman. He wouldn't need such a tough regime for X-men.

I wanted Elba as Blade since he's English in the comics regardless of his Hemdall role, but it's been a while and I think they should look for someone younger.

He would be great as Avalanche! Him creating destruction (making seismic waves) would be reminiscent of his role in Man of Steel.

I preffer an all new cast. not people that have already played a superhero, or in a superhero movie.

I get that Evans and Jordan started at Fox... but I really hope they are the exception. Give me a totally fresh cast for the ultimate X-Men of the big screen.
