I think they researched the pronunciation over breakfast one day. Perhaps they were making a shopping list for phone supplies and breakfast foods and wrote it down like this.

1. Sim card
2. Buy oats
3. Milk
4. Eggs
5. Hummus

:pal:

I will be so happy when they bring back FF merchandise. I hope it's soon.

I need FF Funko pops.

If you have kids like I do, you'd have seen and brought plenty of Paw Patrols. They're pretty huge.

I see them all the time when I'm checking out Marvel Legends at Walmart or Walgreens. My bf's niece likes Paw Patrol and I've already bought a couple plushies in the past month but I honestly didn't know they were that popular.

However, looking at the chart, it's clear that Disney is the absolutely king in merchandises, and Marvel is helping with Spider-Man and Avengers. When X-Men and FF finally revert back to Marvel, I wonder if they will start moving up the chart as well because Disney will probably start making their merchandises. We might see a Wolverine plushie at the Disney Store!

I am so ready for X-men merch!

Yes they did. No film is made with the intention of it being bad.

LOL surely you jest.

Not only are there films made to be bad, on purpose, but we have visited numerous instances on these boards and in this very thread which have studios and production houses dish out half-assed attempts just to fill a contractual obligation and perpetuate an IP license ownership.
While you can argue that even in those instances they didn't "set out to make a bad film", you can't say that they've given their best effort.

I think its so convenient that since this deal went through, you go on Hot Topic and they have a whole assload of X-Men shirts now. From Jean Grey, to Colossus, to Storm.

Got a nice Sabretooth and Weapon X shirt too from there.

Hmm, still have my old X3 T-shirt I wore to the premiere in 20p6. It has Phoenix Jean on it with Logan

Nice.

Speaking of Phoenix, I'm so mad I didn't get this shirt that had this cover on it when I had the chance:

I was reading the press release from last December when Disney announced the fox deal and Its curious that Fantastic four don't get mentioned till deep into the announcement while xmen and avatar are right at the top.

I do wonder if there is going to be some sort of catch with the F4 that we aren't aware of i hope its nothing and or Disney just don't consider F4 that big of an IP to mention along side xmen and avatar after the 2015 movie.

It's just interesting how far down it is in the press release, tucked away. While xmen is at the top with avatar and the Simpsons.

The catch will be that the FF are owned by Constantin films and can't be used. :o

I don't think there's anything to worry about. For Iger to say outright expect to see the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool in the MCU, I think they're in good shape.

compelling storytelling businesses and are the homes of Avatar, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool, as well as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hidden Figures, Gone Girl, The Shape of Water and The Martian.

What I was asking is why did they shove it near the bottom? We're they not confident enough to put it at the top of the press release like avatar and xmen? I think xmen is just the bigger property and poor f4 got shoved to the bottom.

Why would I be joking?

Why would you make a film for it to be bad on purpose? Do you have any idea the amount of time and work that goes into making a movie?

It would be like an artist painting something on a canvas with the intention that it wouldn't be very good, or a singer deliberately singing a song poorly. It would be futile, and a waste of time and resources.

This is what I originally thought, but the press release when the merger was first announced confirmed Fantastic Four was a part of the deal.

Infact fantastic four gets mentioned twice in the press release. It's just odd they don't mention it right at the top. Its buried deep in the announcement. I think Disney sees xmen as the bigger IP.

Look whatever the case is Fox seem to be the ones developing F4 movies as they see fit they have silver surfer and doom movies in development after all.

In the public eye, X-Men are the bigger and more successful property. FF are what fans want to see, but as far as the public are concerned, they've not been very good films overall. Disney are going to sell it more on what has been successful, namely X-Men and Deadpool.

I honestly think they already have the FF but just don’t want to say anything but that’s me

I find it facinating that Bob Iger seems all in on capitalizing on the fantastic four seems like he might even be a fan. I just worry a mcu f4 film is coming too late.

Also new marvel vr game has storm front in center in promotion. I’m seeing a lot of Xmen pop up again and I’m loving it. No more pushing inhumans

It would be cool if they worked out a separate deal in secret and Fox doing those doom and silver surfer movies was a cover up.

Or those movies are for the MCU but nobody would know because Fox was making them.

Maybe Fant4stic was for the MCU but nobody knew it.

I think it says something that he even mentioned them when FF hasn't made nearly the money that X-Men or Avatar have so far.

Also, the FF were featured very prominently on the pins offered at Comic-Con.

That plus all the hype surrounding the comic re-introduction tells me Marvel is setting the FF up to be a big part of their future.
