I'm glad that crossover never happened. A universe full of mutants but with only 4 superheroes (well, 5 if we count Doom) would have made no sense.

Now that both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men are coming home can we have a little laugh at how badly this tweet has aged?

Channing Tatum being included in that pic is especially laughable now.

It definitely goes without saying that the picture is hilarious on multiple levels, but the aspect that really makes me lose it every time I see it is that Tatum is wearing an actual shirt of Gambit- because the stylists or whatever probably realized the GA wouldn't know why he's even there. It's like he's screaming as loudly as he can, "Hey everyone! Look at how relevant I am!" Imagine if Jackman and Reynolds had on Wolverine and Deadpool shirts.

Anyone else think the same thing the first time they saw the picture?

Yeah. That was a day you wanted to pull a sick day.

I kinda wanted to see Channing Tatum as Gambit before Fox pulled out of X-men movies.

This limbo period of no news...sucks. November is the next Disney investor's call right?

I wonder what Michael B. Jordan think about this photo now, after he appeared in BP as Killmonger and his movie made more than any Fox Marvel movie in history.

Take this with a grain of salt, but there's a guy on YT who claims to have sources (apparently speaking to others, he has gotten multiple things right in the past i.e Avengers project reveal at E3, and Hydro-Man in FFH months ago) who works on a Podcast

And what he is saying is that he's heard EARLY talks within Marvel relating to the Fox properties. Now one of the things being discussed is Doctor Doom. And according to his sources - there has been some discussions between Marvel/Disney where Dis doesn't want Doom to rule an entire sovereign nation as a terrorist because of the current political climate right now.

Take it with a grain of salt, but if what he's saying is true, this could mean big changes for Doom

Doom isn't a terrorist. He doesn't blow up night-clubs. He could easily kill more people in a single day than the terrorists did on 9/11 because he's the ruler of a country with technologically advanced weapons. He could level NYC (and several other cities in the US) if he chose to, but as the leader of a country, he isn't going to just openly start a war with the US.

There were more despotic leaders in the early 60's than there are now, but Lee and Kirby didn't shy away from depicting one. There's absolutely no rational reason to avoid Doom being Doom.

He would be more similar to a terrorist if he isn't the leader of a country than if he is.

Hopefully it's just BS.

Honestly after what Disney did with Guardians 3 i could totally buy they would do that with Doom. whats exciting tho is it looks like Doom could be the next big bad.

I get its rumors but really? After all of this, you mean we might STILL not get Doom as Latverian monarch??? If that happens. I give up....

He's probably not thinking about that photo anymore. ;)

Hummmm Disney, please cancel Dark Phoenix (and New Mutants).

Who is this guy?

Not surprising it's worse, since it's Simon Kinberg's directorial debut, and he's incompetent in the general creative area anyway.

Just over 5 months until the train wreck. This should be fun.:awesome:

For me it's not going to be fun because Dark Phoenix could do major damage to the X-Brand and Jean as a character

Might be a good film.

That seems very unlikely at this point. I used to be a pretty big Fox-Men defender, and I still very much like many of the Fox X-Men films. But the combination of retreading The Dark Phoenix storyline and handing over complete creative control of the flagship X-Men franchise to Simon Kinberg of all people is just completely inexcusable. I won't shed a single tear of DPh never sees the light of day, even on a streaming service.

I think they should just think of it like Mowgli compared to Disney's Jungle Book. Stick it on a steaming service and let people subscribe if they want to really see it. Same with New Mutants.

That would be fine. I certainly wouldn't be against that. I'm not even against a theatrical release really. I also wouldn't be against it never seeing the light of day on any platform. I guess the apathy would be the best way for me to describe my feelings about the Fox-Men at this point. Just utter apathy.
