Apologies for backtracking, but does this mean that the embargo has been delayed even further? I noticed the above Tweet doesn't mention a time zone. The one below, however, indicates 3:30 am UK time on the 3rd. Is the person who made the first Tweet simply being imprecise? I'm almost certain that's the case, but I just want to make
sure.

Maybe. Feige has said that Namor's situation is complicated, and one reason may be that the character debuted in Motion Pictures Funny Weekly rather than Timely. Mr. McKenzie wasn't a "work for hire" creation, and Bill Everett's heirs may hold live action rights to the character that will need to be cleared.

Very interesting. There may be 4 possible owners to Namor's rights:

Marvel (production)
Fox (mutants)
Universal/Legendary (rights of first refusal)
Everett's heirs (copyright? Some rights, we don't know)

It maybe just 2 or it may be all 4. Very tangled mess indeed. My point, though, was that Marvel and Disney know all the rights that are owned by 3rd parties for IPs they own.

Namor wasnt named a mutant till recently. So I dont think he's a part of Fox's character listing.

I think Volkov is right. Collin is from the UK.

Recently when?
It was like 8 to 10 years or so ago. He was never an xman affiliate character like deadpool or like Wanda and Peitro. It was after the illuminati comic came out when they made him the "first mutant".

Well this is what Wiki said:

In X-Men #6 (July 1964), X-Men leader Professor Xavier and antagonist Magneto each suspect Namor is a mutant and make efforts to recruit him. Later writers in the 1960s and 1970s described him as a hybrid, not a mutant, in order to distinguish him from the mutant X-Men.[70] When the series was revived in 1990, the series title logo carried the subtitle "Marvel's first and mightiest mutant!".

So they played around with it since the 60s. In 1990 he was seen as the first Marvel mutant. Fox signed the deal with Marvel in 94 for the X-Men license. It's very possible, maybe likely that Fox has some claims to him because he's a mutant. Regardless it was a fan theory I read somewhere else and it's plausible. Consider that Kang is tied with the FF license. These 90s Marvel licenses are weird.

:ninja:.

You'll prolly have to get rid of the tweet man. Language.

I was about to say. The only place on this site for bad language words is the front page. Apparently, anything goes there. :yuk:

The video in that tweet was hilariously awful, though. What is Sony thinking?

Lol remember how many people defended this movie

Mads as Reed would've been bad, when he would be so much better as Doom.

What next? Chris Hemsworth as Loki? Chris Evans as Red Skull? Hugo Weaving as Steve Rogers?

Auditioning for the role doesn't mean he would get it. Actors audition for one role but get another more suited one all the time.

Tom Hiddleston auditioned for Thor but got the better suited role of Loki.

Yeesh. Ghost Rider. Which one? Because you have a choice between mediocre and flipping awful.

DanielR who was one of the first people to report BVS wasn’t good, and saw an early cut of Suicide Squad(he has access to test screenings)before it was edited into the film we know now accidentally broke the Venom embargo earlier than he was supposed to by tweeting his reaction to Venom today before quickly deleting it but luckily someone already screencapped it.

The after credits scene have been revealed apparently. Not wishing to spoil myself as I'm interested to see for myself.

For Venom? I'll check it out. Not going it see it in theaters anyway.

Just read the description for both.
It's pretty consistent with what most ppl have been expecting.
