Or we could just meet in this thread here, which would be even easier considering all the time zones.

But then how will I get to see everyone's lovely faces?

On second thought, maybe having a certain level of anonymity isnt so bad ;)

comicbook.com is saying Mexico have approved as well. They aren't as reliable as the major trades though.I know mexico was set to review it today so its possible. Remember their decision wont be made public.

Haven’t popped by this thread enough. I was a regular before/after the FFINO debacle but I need to visit here more often now that things are officially moving forward

Imo it's the best thread in all of the SHH forums hands down, despite Dark Raven's best efforts to kill it with his terrible jokes.

I keeed, I keeed :D

When this thread was first created(back when I was nothing more than a mere lurker on this site) it was only created with the hope/expectation the F4 will come home. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect the merry mutants to come home.

Back then, the best we could all hope for was Fox to wise up & collaborate with Marvel Studios like Sony did for Spider-Man or for Fox to be to scared to do anything with the FF after the failure of Fan4stic long enough for the rights to revert. Isn't it crazy we're this close, so soon, when only two years ago it felt like a delusional pipe-dream that may never happen? It almost feels like I'm dreaming, pinch me someone I must be dreaming!

But I guess dreams do come true.

I guess if you keep hope alive enough it will be...

REWARDED!!

Yea I always assumed the Fantastic Four would come home eventually the same way daredevil did I think after the 2015 movie Fox were going to let the rights lapse. At the time X-Men were doing quite well. We just had Days of Future Past it seems like they were redirecting the ship into a good direction. Then Apocalypse happened. And after Logan it seemed like things started to fall apart. They really have no where to go. Other than to wrap up the first class story. The series peaked with DOFP imo. Never did I think we would get X-men, Fantastic Four. And Deadpool.

DC, Sony, and Fox all made the same mistake, IMO. There was a clear problem with their respective franchises (Zack Snyder, Avi Arad, and Simon Kinberg) that they kept around far too long. It was obvious a long time ago that all three needed to be fired badly. Not to say that there weren't other issues, but it starts there.

This deal is so much superior to the Sony/Marvel one since in this case Marvel will have to complete access to F4, X-Men, & Deadpool. If Fox had made a similar deal with Marvel like the Sony/Marvel partnership we'd be worrying about the possibility of Fox eventually abandoning the partnership like we're currently doing with Spider-Man with Sony; not to mention Fox probably would've gone ahead and done lame spinoffs thus restricting certain characters from any use in the MCU.

exactly. Im really curious to see how marvel will introduce the mutants and F4 because they wont be pressured to release a movie every 2 years they can take all the time they need.

What made this deal so insane to me as a longtime X-Fan is the idea of the mutantsi coming home to the MCU. I'm sure everybody expected F4 to go back eventually because Fant4stic bombed too hard but never in a million years would I have ever imagined X-Men going back to Marvel. It still almost feels like a dream

Somebody had to say it.:funny:

But it's not over yet. This thing needs to get locked down and done. We were celebrating December of 2017, but we've been on a roller coaster since then and it's still not over yet.

I always had a feeling Disney would get X-Men and Fantastic 4 back but I would’ve never thought they’d just take the whole damn Fox.

We’re finally going to get a live action X-Men movie the way they were meant to be seen!!!

Variety: Disney in talks to acquire AT&T's Hulu stake

Walt Disney (DIS -0.7%) is in active talks with AT&T (T -0.6%) about acquiring the latter's 10% stake in Hulu, Variety reports.

AT&T holds the 10% through WarnerMedia, after the now-acquired Time Warner bought in to Hulu to join other partners Disney, Fox (FOX -0.9%, FOXA -0.9%) and Comcast (CMCSA -0.8%).

Disney's acquisition of WarnerMedia's stake, combined with the 30% it's set to acquire through its $71B asset deal with Fox, would bring Disney's control of Hulu to 70%.

Comcast has said that it's not yet interested in parting with its 30% in the venture.

Variety article:

Disney in Active Talks With AT&T to Acquire WarnerMedia’s 10% Hulu Stake (EXCLUSIVE)

Comcast not interested in selling (or playing hard to get) means no Hulk/Namor/Theme park rights for now.

If we get Mystique in the MCU, I hope to see her back in her rightful place as a villain alongside Destiny, and not leading the X-Men or being a childhood friend of Charlie X. Give her the white dress with the skulls this time.

But hopefully don't use her for a while.

Eh, the skulls are a little much. That said, yeah, it'd be nice if she were a villain, and preferably an independent villain. By and large she shouldn't be involved in big ideological affairs of any kind; she should be involved in self-interested intrigue. Which doesn't mean she can't be an ally of convenience of nearly anybody, just that she should always be out for her and hers in said alliances.

( Which doesn't mean she can't ever care about anyone else. Mystique should care about those legitimately close to her, like Destiny. Just. . . if you aren't inside her fairly limited monkeysphere? She don't care if you live or die, unless it benefits her. )

That's really petty of Comcast especially when Disney honoured its sale of its percentage of Sky.

That's different.

Fox(Disney) wasn't gonna get a bigger premium anytime soon if they didn't sell then. The quote variety(seekingalpha) is using is also a month old quote from Steve Burke where he mentions they will probably sell but not in the near term. Nothing new on that front.

Yeah, this is infinitely better. The guaranteed goods, for good!

She would be a good character to introduce later down the line. This time comic-faithful and hopefully a very effective villain.

I still remember the rumors first emerged back in Nov. 2017. The idea of it was too good to be true.. Some would say it was an amazing Fantasy. Argh, I still can't believe this happening some days. We will finally see the Marvel Universe United

Honestly the last hero I want Marvel to get back is Spidey. I can live without Hulk getting his own movie at least he can appear in the movies. He seems to work better on his own anyway. Spidey on the other hand is being held back by Marvel not having full ownership they cant make him the face of the MCU moving forward because there is too much risk. E.g what if Sony don't renew the deal? etc

It’s an epic, dramatic story of its own with Comcast as the chief villain. :D:
