So what games is everyone planning on getting throughout the rest of 2008. My must get games are

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Ghostbusters
Gears of War 2
Fable 2
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

I want the same games. There are probably a few more that I want, but these are the ones I want the most.

Yea, your list minus Mortal Kombat Vs DC and add Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway

the only definite for me is Soul Calibur IV and possible Spider-man WoS. The rest of 2008 looks unappealing to me

I doubt anything will touch MGS4 for me. I can't remember the release dates for these, so I might creep into 2009, but

Final Fantasy 13 (it MIGHT be be out this year apparently)
Little Big Planet
Pro Evolution Soccer 2009
Ghostbusters

--

Games I'm not hyped for, but might get anyway:

Spider-Man WoS
Star Wars

Spider-man: Web Of Shadows
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Left 4 Dead
This Is Vegas
Mortal Kombat vs DC
Ghostbusters
Street Fighter 4
Sonic Unleashed

the only definite for me is Soul Calibur IV

I want to get this but I am not going to fall for the exclusive character crap. I am waiting on the DLC plans which you know there will be since the systems have exclusive characters. I am not falling for this trap :o

the only definites for me are Street Fighter 4, LittleBigPlanet, and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. i'm interested in Soul Calibur 4, Left 4 Dead, Star Wars: Force Unleashed, and Spider-Man: WoS...but i'll probably rent those.

btw, you guys notice how many titles this year have "4" in them? GTA4, MGS4, SF4, Left 4 Dead....hehe

Stalker: Clear Sky, Starcraft 2, Left 4 Dead, Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway as well, Far Cry 2, maybe give spore a try, kinda looks abit too cutesy for my liking atm.

1. Fallout 3.
2. MK vs DCU (Thanks to newly announced fatalities)
3. Fable 2
4. Little Big Planet
5. StarCraft 2

Final Fantasy 13 (it MIGHT be be out this year apparently)
Dont hold your breath, bc its not coming out this year. Prepare to be disappointed if you actually beleive that. If anything the Japanese version might and I highly even doubt that. Dont expect a North American or European release anytime soon as those will drop months after Japan gets it

Definately Getting
Unreal Tournament III
Ghostbusters
Gears of War 2
Fable 2
Fallout 3
Dead Space

Maybe...
Alone in the Dark
The Last Remnant
Too Human
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Left 4 Dead
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

I'll be spending the rest of this year trying to catch up on some quality PS3 gaming:

- Grand Theft Auto IV
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

Although I will get some more games from this year:

- Soul Calibur IV (PS3)
- Mario Super Sluggers (Wii)
- LittleBigPlanet (PS3)

I just hope my new roomate has a PS3, then I can look forward to:
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Motorstorm 2
Fallout 3
TAIV
Call of Duty 4
Resistance 4
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

But I can expand my PS2 collectio to include:
Okami
Bully
Shadow of the Colossus
Spider-Man 2
X-men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse(I've beaten both Marvel games, but I've got the urge to get them again)
so it's no biggie.

Definites
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Lego Batman
Ghostbusters
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (if out this year)

Maybe
Street Fighter IV
Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows

Maybe its time to dump that PS2 and make the leap to a 360 or PS3. You can find some resonably priced 360's and PS3's out there.

Far as I'm concerned the BIG game of the year is now out of the way for me, time to just sit back on enjoy what's to come. I'll be picking up

Super Smash Bros Brawl (When it finally comes out here)
Fallout 3
Little Big Planet
MotorStorm 2
Resistance 2
Bioshock

As far as things look, its gonna be one heck of a finish

The only games I'm looking forward to this year are:

Tomb Raider: Underworld
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Gears of War 2
The next Kingdom Hearts (whichever it is)
Saint's Row 2
Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent (or whatever it's called)
Mirror's Edge

The last two are 'maybes' 'cause I'm not too sure about those...

Definitely:
Gears of War 2
Tom Clancy's End War

Maybe (If I have the money and reviews are good):
Too Human
Tom Clancy's HAWX
Ghostbusters
Call of Duty: World at War
Rayman Raving Rabbids 3

Games already out that I want to get:
Ninja Gaiden 2
Okami Wii
Wii Fit

My two current biggest are TBA, so some of my choices may be early 2009 but -

Games I'm sure I'm buying -

Street Fighter 4
Final Fantasy XIII
Star Wars Force Unleashed
Little Big Planet

Games I might buy but not must haves -

Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Tekken 6
Soul Caliber

Looks interesting but undecided, maybe an impulse buy -

LA Noire
Heavy Rain
Afrika (possibly, need to hear more on it)
Aliens: Colonial Marines
WWE Raw vs. Smackdown 2009 (which of course comes out a year before it's namesake, so is a 2008 title)
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

There are some other games I might pick up, I have a few PS3 games I've skipped over that I might go back and pick up as well. However SF4, FFXIII, Little Big Planet, and Star Wars are the titles I'm looking most forward too. Tekken 6 looks like it might be the first Tekken I'll pick up since Tag, and Soul Caliber is always fun but not a sure buy for me. FF vs XIII...not sure, FFXIII is the FF I'm wanting to buy and not sure I want to buy vs if it's a clone.

Can someone convince me what is so damn special about Little Big Planet. Everytime i ask if there is anything worthwhile that i should get for the PS3 that game comes up. Iv seen videos and what not and to me, that looks like one of the dumbest games to release in a looong time. Am i missing something to it?

I guess you just have to have a taste for cute and quirky games.

Personally, Little Big Planet might just be the game that gets me to buy a PS3.

Ya, it just looks like a neat quirky game. Think Parapa the Rapper, Katamari Damacy (think that's the one where you roll items around into one big ball, like cars and buildings and such), other games in that vein. Just fun titles with random gameplay elements. Little Big Planet also looks pretty good graphics wise. Either way it just looks interesting, probably won't have a story worth anything, but the gameplay and overall fun factor will probably be pretty high.

Also for me it's just a nice break away from all the series dramatic titles. Little Big Planet could never touch a MGS4 or GTA4, but it's walks to a different beat so to speak. It looks like something you'd just pick up and play for the point of playing without having to worry about characters dying, or cataclysmic events.

Ohhhh. Ok got it. Yea, thats deff not a game for me then. I just didnt know if it was boasting something special for the PS3 like some new gameplay tech or something like that.
