World The Rhino and Scorpion respect Thread

I thought I'd start a respect thread for Rhino and Scorpion, two of my favorite spidey villains. They both have their moments, but are really underappreciated, especially Scorpion, so this is the place to say what you think about them.

Yeah, Rhino's ultimate costume was his best one ever!
I'm not sure about Scorpion, though. His ultimate version kind of looks like a hunchback.

Rhino started off as a great villian but latter writers made him a complete neanderthal. His very first appearance was this:

That is an impressive debut. AS #41-43 is actually a great story that I encourage all to get and read before they judge Rhino.

Scorpion is all right. I really view him as a prop in JJJ's rivalry with Spidey. But great prop no doubt.

I have always liked Scorpion. But they keep ruining him. First they replace him with a woman, then the John Byrne revamp, now he's Venom. Ugh.

Rhino, on the other hand, makes for good confrontations but has no real depth as a character.

Yeah, I hate when they mess up Scorpion.
And I like they way Rhino is just a super powered thug, it makes it really easy to write him into a story.

They're some of my favorite villains. I like Rhino just a little more than Scorpion though.

plus it had the benefit of also holding gargan prisoner so to say since it was booby trapped with emitting the toxins to the user thus making gargan unable to escape....


poor gargan, such potential...

Scorpion is cool and had alot of potential as a villain. I hate how he's potrayed sometimes though like he doesn't have one brain cell.

Never really been a fan of Rhino. The character's best moment came in the Spider-man novel "Wanted Dead of Alive".

Hasbro needs to make a super-articulated Scorpion figure in that costume for their new Spiderman line, cause if they did I'd certainly buy one.

It's EXTREMELY rare that I buy an action figure for myself, (Usually my kids get ahold of them or the package gets damaged while moving or something)but I'd pick that one up.
