I was suprised by this show, its intelligently written and well acted ( Izzard's accent's a bit sporadic). Most of the shows on FX are about flawed characters who have respectable careers, but this show is about flawed characters who base their life around a detestable profession. This pilot got pretty intense, I'm going to try to let this show suck me in.

I loved the beginning where the oldest son pretends to have a seizure and starts kicking the patrol cop!

And Minnie Driver coming out of prison in CORNROWS!! That was just hilarious!

So far, I really like the show. The comedy is very well-written, and the dramatic aspects work very well. And as implausible as it all seems, I've watched enough Dateline exposes to know that stranger things have happened. Plus, I'm a sucker for shows and movies where people take on another person's identity. I love Mumford.

Well, I am pissed...i didn't get to see the pilot (I fell asleep about 3 hours before it came on and woke up as the rerun was almost ending) but I will definately be watching this weekend's rerun of it...if they show it again...I hope they do.

It's F/X, it'll be rerun plenty of times. Just watched the pilot, kinda interesting, a lot more dramatic than I thought it would. The only real problem I had was the comedic parts were too dry, the characters didn't seem to be having very much fun. I wish the scene at the reunion was played more like Wedding Crashers.

Guys, I was finally able to catch this show last night on its rerun...and it was damn good! I'd give the pilot an 8/10...it had everything: comedy, drama, violence! Eddie Izzard is fantastic! Minnie Driver isn't bad at all! And the kids are great!

I'll definately be watching this tonight!

Okay, I watched my DVR of The Riches on Saturday, and I found it a bit underwhelming

And by underwhelming I mean "too depressing for my enjoyment":

Random Drug Use, White-Trashedness to the Nth Power, Old RVs, and the worst thing was how cluddered every room always looked....I mean, its a good concept and all, but I don't want to see messy rooms every week, and call that "good television".

And that's the best casting of a "Dave Matthews look-alike" that I've ever seen!

But again, don't hand me a bag of stinky garbage with needles in it, and try to tell me it's artistic expression. I'll give this show another try this week. Hopefully, it's a little less murky.

I caught up w/episode two on Saturday...I liked it a little better than the premiere.

But I get the feeling that I'm watching this show just to watch it. I mean, shouldn't there be more to it? Shouldn't a TV show compel you to watch?

I wonder if there's better things to do with my time?! I've got so many books I could be reading...

I'll give it one more week, I guess.

I do think that they need to speed it up a bit more, and get to where they are going...but I still like the show.
