No, Cass is evil and the comic is **** now.

Well I was looking to save a couple of bucks....but damn that Boomerang arc looks appeasing.....damnit!

If the writing was as bad as it was in this issue, it won't be worth it if the entire DC universe had a cameo. Not only did Beechen provide some truly awful dialogue, he gave possibly the single weakest motivation ever for Cass' switch from disciplined, penitent Batgirl to bloodthirsty League of Assassins leader. I saw flashes of Superboy Prime's emo-punches while I read. It was that bad.

Damnit! Im going to have to read it myself to see how bad it actually is. In your opinion theres no way this book can be saved?

it can. just say it was a dream, or a star was taking over cassandras brain

So seeing that im probably wont even get the issue in my pull box now, what was the motivation.

Man. Whats next, Batman/Dective comics to start sucking?

No. Not my Brucey.

Doesn't seem likely with Morrison and Dini writing after "Face the Face" is over. Morrison's arc sounds a bit lame, but if anyone can pull it off, Morrison can.

The book, sure. Get back to the writing quality of the first couple of issues. Beechen was creating a pretty interesting mystery before it all went to hell. But he's also pretty well raped Cassandra's character at this point. It'd take some retconning to get her back to the Cassandra I know and love.

This is the single worst issue of any comic book I have ever read.

... i love cassie cain... i'm fine with her being evil too

wow, the issue must be really disappointing considering how much hate there is in here right now.

And I really like cass too :(

****ing OYL! Do they have to go and ruin every memeber of the Bat-Family?

Psshh, what does it matter if they ruin Batgirl? They've got an uber-cool Batwoman now. Surely that must be a fair trade-off.

****ing lesbians.....hot hot hot lesbians.....

I don't think that it impossible that this isn't Cassandra. Cain's dying words concerned the "others" that he had trained, and that may present an oppurtunity for an imposter. Who knows?

What I can say without hesitation is that Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl are being given very little respect at the moment. That's a real disappointment considering the roles they played in Infinate Crisis. Robin is at least being written well when he features in Batman's comics, but Batgirl's legacy looks far from safe, and Dick is a lost cause.

My worry is that, away from the Big Three and some of the new titles, many writers are not innovative enough to know what to do with the potential offered by the year's jump. Too much characterisation has been thrown to the dogs. I do not resent all change, and my first impressions of Kathy Kane in 52 have been fairly positive (though she needs bigger boobs); but the old does not have to be subordinate to the new.

so like, was there like an overwhelming desire by the fans for batwoman that i missed? cuz i think its a PUTRID idea at best...

Looks like she will be joining BOP some time in the future.

It looks like Marvel is set-up to having two great weeks in a row.

I really don't think the writing was very good after the first issue in this arc. I found plenty of plot holes in the second issue and it just got worse from there. Maybe they should bring Geoff Johns in to resuscitate this book and Nightwing.
