It's not sad at all! Well I think Bill Murray looked cool but mostly, I think the appearance was completely tongue in cheek, basically poking fun at the audience who wants to see him do another GB film when he knows he'll never say yes to it.



Agreed the Spike Awards have few redeeming qualities(this year is the BTTF thing, Bill Murray, and True Blood winning some awards) but other than that they definitely try too hard to be cool. "ooh lets have marylin manson present the main award with a girl on fire next to him...the kids will love it."

Wait...Marilyn Manson was there? Is it 1998?

Murrays a quirky unpredictable guy like that. He'll do it just to see peoples reactions and give himself a kick. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Yeah, Bill Murray beats to his own drum. Apparently when he was over at St. Andrews' here in Scotland for the golf, a couple of the students that are friends of someone I know jokingly invited him to a party at their flat. To their shock, he actually showed up... then helped tidy up afterwards.

Overall, I like Robert Downey Jr better than Leonardo DiCaprio. But Leo is a great actor in his own right, certainly enough to be better than RDJ "on his worst movie". And enough for his work in Inception (and in Shutter Island, for that matter) to surpass RDJ's work in Iron Man 2.
