I came across this on CS and thought pass it along.A new screen version of the popular book and acclaimed 1982 film Directed by Don Bluth is being written by Neil Burger who directed The Illusionist and Walden producer Carey Garant is on board to produce the movie. The link said nothing about what type of adaptation but i imagine gonna be like Smurf or G-Force like deal but with much better effects consider Walden is producing it.
Any ideas on who should be asked too voice the iconic characters.

What a load of crap. Secret of NIMH is Don Bluth's masterpiece, and yet they want to screw it over by remaking it in live action? NO THANK YOU. I am happy to say that I will be sitting this POS out.

They may have to hook up a PG-13, because I sense it'll be of the same material that 9 is. Rats getting sucked down air vents and ****.

I grew up watching Bluth's animated films and still think they all hold up well today. I don't think this will **** on or ruin the original but I do see it as kind of pointless. This will most likely be CGI and not live action though, Timstuff.

It could have potential if people from Walden is involved for they do very good job with rodants in there movies. I think it could be good with the right voice casting.

Here is who i think should voice the cast.

Ms Brisby- Ashley Judd.

Jeremy- Jack Black.

Nickademus- Derek Jacobe for he did the orginal.

The Great Owl- Anthony Hopkins.

Mr Ages- Jim Broadbent.

Justin- Aaron Eckhart.

Jenner- Alan Rickman.

Antie Shrew- Kathy Bates.

I would be interested in this. Especially if it was Rats of NIMH and not Secret of NIMH. I was a big fan of the books, and I wouldn't mind seeing something a little closer to the source material, instead of a remake.

for some odd reason i'm not against this either.
