thats why we first thought its a fake. probably is though (read: there is no scene in the movie that has this). this could be the first of 42entertainment's efforts with their viral campaign.

This is all so exciting. Great marketing campaign. Making people guess what's real and what's not, playing on or emotions, etc. However, I think the look of the Joker is legit. They wouldn't have took it down if it wasn't.

I am really enjoying the immersive nature of the campaign. I especially enjoyed the email from the Joker regarding "defacing public officials". These guys at 42 are doing an amazing job.

It can only get better.

^ I was thinking the same, especially that because HP is out in summer. There are all kind of things they could in December.

Although it's possible the summer trailer might only show Joker in the shadows, brief glimpses etc. and then in December we get a full reveal in costume.....but yeah, who knows.

It really looks like all signs are pointing toward a december full-length trailer w/Mr. J. There really is no reason to reveal the joker's look in the movie this early on; the hype would not sustain to 400+ days from now.

More evidence that points to this: the scene that they filmed in chicago, with the actor playing that bank manager who slipped that they need him to do the teaser...it makes sense, because the sides that we saw earlier point to a scene with the Joker removing the mask and getting a *reaction* to his face. Not a reveal, but a reaction. Sound like the perfect teaser? That's because it is. We'll see a masked joker talking to the manager, and then when he removes the shot, our POV will be behind the j-man's head w/the manager's "OMG" reaction. "summer 2008"

Who's to say that "See you in December" is even a message to the fans. It looks to me that the site was made as if the Joker actually existed; so I think a movie trailer is not what the message is indicating. We've already gotten reports that a trailer will be attached to HP this summer. December seems real late to come out with a trailor with the movie then being less than a year away. The message may just be a part of the marketing plan and could be a message to Harvey Dent. What do you guys think?

I'm thinking it's more of a message to US.

i think we will see a different looking version of Ledger as the Joker from what was just released over the weekend in December.
