Shouldn't Joker have just hacked ibelieveinharveydent.com rather than create a separate site?

That would have been too obvious. Also wouldn't have the same alternate reality thing, blurring the lines by creating "real" sites as if they were done by J himself.

Then agian, the Dent one should have gone the same way, but that one is there in a more official capacity I guess.

well i was researching the whole see you in december thing and the first view of the joker or the first teaser will very likely be with "I Am Legend" a Warner bros. film coming out december 14th ......it only makes sense....sry if i am late..
