I Like the look of this,it has a strong cast and a decent sounding story
Clark Johnson also directed a lot of episodes of the Shield so that's another plus IMO

I keep trying to download Quicktime and it wont work for me but, overall the plot sounds good and yea,it does have a strong cast.

I saw a behind the scenes of this a while ago, looked and sounded good, I like the cast!

The Sentinel sounds like it should be about a giant robot.

NEW trailer,looking like a solid thriller IMO:up:

I am going to guess, based on the three minute trailer that I saw, that Kiefer Sutherland's character is the villian and he is framing Michael Douglas.

Michael Douglas returns after his three year break from making movies in 20th Century Fox's The Sentinel. In the thriller, he plays Pete Garrison, a U.S. Secret Service agent framed for trying to kill the President of the United States, and he's teamed up with Kiefer Sutherland who plays his estranged best friend David Breckinridge, trying to bring him down for the alleged crime, and Eva Longoria as the sassy Secret Service rookie.

"With 'The Sentinel,' it was a book," Douglas told ComingSoon.net. "I thought with 'The Sentinel' we could do certainly a milieu that has been done before, but by doing the detail of the Secret Service like it's never been done before--really researching it with the kind of cast you could put together--we could possibly make a picture where you couldn't guess the ending and possibly know who the bad guy was right off the top."

In the film, Garrison lives a highly structured and hierarchical detailed life as a career agent, who had even taken a bullet for Ronald Reagan twenty years earlier. He has been assigned to guard the first Lady, played by Kim Basinger, and Douglas couldn't have been happier with that choice. "Ironically we had offered her the role on 'Basic Instinct,' as we were trying to get a star to play that part," Douglas admitted. "It was a great part, but she had already done '9 1/2 Weeks,' and so she said, 'Been there, done that.' Of course, Sharon was fantastic, but I always wanted to… I had a little bit of a crush on [Kim]," Douglas confessed.

Early in the movie, it's revealed that there is a leak within the Secret Service and all the evidence is pointing to Garrison. "This started out as a genre movie, just to execute it as well as possible," Douglas told us. "But the way the world is going, with the leaks in Washington and homicide detectives being hit men for the mob, I'm wondering. All of a sudden there becomes a little more of a element of terrorist movement and everything else, more of a sense of well maybe there could be a mole in there."

Longoria, who sheds her Desperate Housewives role well, explained how this character was going back to her roots. "Jill Marin is actually closer to who I am as a person, so it's always nice to play that. People keep saying, 'Wow, it's such a stretch for Eva Longoria.' If you look at my earlier work, I always played the detective. I always played the cop, so 'Desperate Housewives' was fun for me because I got to do something different."

To train for their parts, the actors had to take lessons in firearms and while Longoria may have been the rookie in the film, when it came to shooting guns, she blew away Douglas and Sutherland. "Yeah they were pretty upset," Longoria laughed. "They keep saying, 'Stop talking about that. You're embarrassing us.' It was funny. We went to the firing range, and you know that little man you get to shoot? All of mine were in the bull's-eye. I mean right in the head! Kiefer's were a little bigger and lower, and I was like 'What are you aiming at'? Michael's wasn't even on the man. He would have killed so many bystanders and civilians. The Secret Service trainers, they all had bets that Kiefer would get first and Michael would get second. Michael was upset he didn't get to prove himself."

The Sentinel opens everywhere on April 21.
