The Dark Knight The SHH TDK Set Visit!

Those outtakes sound hilarious, I hope they make it onto the DVD.

" Batman says something, and Gordon asks, "What about this Joker guy?"
Batman: "One man or the entire mob? He can wait."

Batman's gonna end up regretting that.:hoboj:

I asked the costumer about it later, he said there was actually some debate for a time whether to even have the logo or not
Jesus Christ, are they MAD?

But one of the funniest bloopers we saw unfolding before us involved Batman throwing the stack of money to Gordon. In one take, he'd throw it and Oldman would miss catching it. And it happened again. And again. And again. And again. The only time Oldman caught it was during a close-up when a guy o- set tossed it to him from short range. (Bale later joked it proved he was a bad tosser and Oldman wasn't a bad catcher. Oldman later said Nolan joked that he only caught it in the closeup to ensure that was the only usable take for the scene. A good acting trick, eh?) There were so many misses that both Oldman and Bale started cracking up after each miss. When Oldman finally did catch the money properly in a long shot, he only got about one line in the scene before Bale and Oldman started dying laughing again. Oldman literally laid down laughing on the table. So imagine Batman cracking up and Gordon lying on his side on a cart. That was the surreal scene before me and I was loving it. I hope that makes it on the DVD as a blooper.
TEOL!

Yes, I said the exact same phrase when I read that.
I am cool with the "masked" emblem. I liked how it had the same colour as the rest of the suit in Begins. And that's because i like the all black suit.
The technique used in TDK suit (putting it in a triangle) isnt so nice, but its ok....i guess.

Not putting the emblem on would have been blasphemy. I know how they were thinking. He is a man dressed like a bat. What does he need a sign for? Not to mention that he is now a SWAT guy dressed like a bat, so maybe we need that emblem!

That was a great report. Loved the interviews, especially with Nolan.

So did it say that the bank scene with Batman and Gordon will be during the day? Seems like it would be.

Agreed. This type of stuff makes people who say that Nolan takes the "realism" too far, actually right. And that worries me.

Wait a second.........the prologue mentioned here took place during the day and if those scenes involving Gordon and Bats take place at the Gotham National bank that would mean we'll see Batman in pure daylight ?

I pray batman shows up when the police are deep into the investigation and its already dark out.....yikes, either way the scene does sound cool.

Hmm, if there was talk about whether to keep the symbol on the costume, then I would take that as further proof that the Joker will definitely not end up with bleached skin.
It's all good though.

Well, since the school buses are going out after the robbery, it would place it at about 2-3pm or so. Depending on the month the robbery takes place, it would be dark after three hours or so, enough for Batman to come out. I wouldn't mind him coming out a little earlier if there is a job to be done, though.

You're most probably right.

too bad they didn't make of Monique Curnen a Renée Montoya !!! But I'm excited to see her scenes, I love thoses "cops fraternity" scenes !:cwink:

Oh and even if Bale is a great actor I'm ashamed to say his interviews are definitley not really worth reading for the most part ! Nolan and even Eckhart are much more interesting !

What makes me wonder is that they changed Montoya's character so much, that they decided to change her name altogether. Why didn't they do the same with Flass in BB?

I hope that "arnarchy" take from Gordon isn't the one that makes it into the film. It just sounds incredibly off. Maybe it wouldn't within the actual context of the film itself, but I'd still just as soon have them use one of the takes where he doesn't say that.

yea he is an awesome actor but he seems like a really strange person.

Good read. Love the blooper.

In 'Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead' Oldman catches a coin I don't know how many times in a row. That leads me to the conclusion it probably WAS Bale's fault. :oldrazz:

I really don't know why they changed the name. They could argue that this character is a different character all together, I suppose. But from what little we know about her (and even from her appearance) she seems like Montoya through and through. It's a shame, really, that that name change is taking away something that would have made the movie just a little more special. Oh well.

CS/SHH!: Is this like an extension of the Batmobile or is it completely independent?
Crowley: It's completely different component.

I guess all of the debate over the Batpod being an extension of the Tumbler can come to an end now :hehe:

Well just think of the "Then you're gonna love me" line from Batman. Folks hated it and thought it was cheese when it was reported, btu when seen in context it blew folks away

Really interesting stuff. Loved the interview with Aaron Eckhart. Eckhart always comes across as a nice guy in these interviews. Though in this one he made himself seem a little bit silly too.

SHH: Did you read any comics in preparation for the role?
ECKHART: Oh yeah, I read all the major Harvey Dent stories. They were great.

...

SHH: So, will we be seeing Harvey Dent's wife?
ECKHART: He was married?
SHH: Yes... in all the interpretations of his origin story.
ECKHART: Well....umm...I must have read the one where he wasn't married. (Nervous laugh)

Okay, not quite word for word, but you get the idea. :woot: Still, though, he seemed really enthusiastic about the part. Bale seemed really nervous about giving any spoilers away. And Nolan, as always, was full of interesting tidbits about the themes he's going to be exploring with the film.
