The Shield - Season 6

doesn't really do anything for me...and i'm nuts about the show.

Didn't really do anything for me either, other than setting the tone of the new season; but this marks the beginning of "Almost time for The Shield" time.

I found the promo sort of chilling, though.

I hope at the end. Vic blows Shane's brain out :cmad:

Isn't there going to be a season 7?

Yah a bonus season before the final season is the last I heard.

Last years promo was much better.

Yah, last season's got me really pumped. Still though, I liked the song they used.

And poor Ron, got left out once again.

I liked that preview...but wheres Ronnie?

Ronnie was prolly wire tapping some phone or de-bugging a room or something.

Huh, I didn't notice that they were falling into an empty grave. I thought they were just standing in front of (Don't read if you didn't watch last season)
Lem's
grave. :o

I can't wait for this to kick up. Shane needs an asskicking badly. There's great potential for this season.

They kinda wrote him off. I say kinda because I don't remember a specific finality for his character, just the implication that his injuries from the accident were enough to take him off the street.

Hope he comes back for a episode or 2. Then have him beat the living the **** out of Shane before Vic kills him. :cmad:

The guy who played tavon got an offer for a different show and took it, so the writers wrote him off. Originally he was supposed to be a UC trying to nail vic and the guys.

That's too bad, Tavon was pretty kick ass.

Last we saw him, he was in the hospital. Vic and Lem convinced him that he'd hit Mara during the tussle he and Shane got into in order to cover Shane's tracks. That was the end of Season 3, and we haven't heard from him since.

I wouldn't mind seeing him come back at some point...

I remember that, but I thought Vic made a some passing reference at the start of Season 4 to Tavon's injuries in relation to why he wasn't on the team anymore.

Small spoiler. Nothing earth-shattering, just a little bit about a new cast member.

Meet Detective Kevin Hiatt. Det. Hiatt is brought in by Captain Claudette Wyms to keep an eye on Detective Vic Mackey and relay information about what's really going on within the Strike Team. He also is a potential replacement for Vic as leader of the Strike Team.

Hiatt is a street savvy cop who has worked for INS. He has worked for four years on the Mexican border and is experienced in gang-related crimes.

Detective Hiatt, much like Mackey, may have his own ways of dealing with criminals and those who do not cooperate.

Interesting. Especially since Vic & the gang have had dealings involving our neighbors down south.

The guy doesn't look like anyone that can own Vic in anyway whatsoever. :oldrazz:

Yah, I like the look of the guy and his background, but Vic would definitely hand him his ass. :)

Has anyone seen that the black girl from the Decoy Squad is in a new drama called Lincoln Heights in Jan? I thought she was awesome in The Shield.

Yeah, it's too bad that that whole Decoy Squad storyline was mostly pointless. :(
