Ok, so I never read Thing's book up until the latest issue but I heard everyone on hear going on a bout it so I thought I'd give it a go. ****ing brilliant. Really relatable writing, great art and very very funny Sadly it's now gone and I only made it along for the swan song
So, to the point:
Now I find that ultimate marvel team up is being cancelled as well and then there's spidergirl, but rumours are that that's coming back due to fan support. This kind of reminded me of my favourite tv show firefly that died a death due to a lack of publicity yet was loved by a small but core audience, who psread the word, got enough dvd box-sets sold and got a movie about it.
So i was thinking...
What if there was a thread were people could suggest titles to other readers, but a very specific kind of title. The kind of books that are so good that you just know they're gonna get cancelled because that's the way the world is. The idea is that if a new book comes out that you think is great but is massively underpromoted and doesn't look like having a long shelf-life you can come to this thread and recomend it, there has to be at least a few hundred people on these boards, and they can tell two friends, and they cna tell two friends, and they can tell two friends...
I shall call it "the society for the protection of endangered comic books"
Honest opinions people? If you have a favourite title thaqt never got off the ground (spidergirl ) and you don't want to see it happen again make use of this thread, it's gonna be a lot more effective than people picking up the occasional bit of information in passing from other threads.
The way I wanna do it is
Title:
Writer(s):
Artist(s):
(include all writers/artists that have worked on it so far
Similar to: 1.
2.
3.
From the writers/artists who brought you 1.

and quick capsule review, possibly a piece of cover art if you have one, if not it's not essential.
Now don't go trying to be funny and list the amazing spiderman or wolverine origins, this is strictly for boooks that are genuinely struggling despite merit or being criminaly under-publicised but if this takes off it could bring about a new golden age of comics, or more likely just save the occasional classic Either way I think it'll be worth the effort!
oh, p.s. bring back
