Anyone catch the premiere last night of the last nine episodes? Not much happened, but it did lay down a lot of good ground work. Plus talk about Bobby going off.

It was a good episode. I don't trust those Canadian dudes, I think they were trying to set up Tony, but Bobby's gonna take the fall for it.

I had that thought as well, but if they were working with the feds or whatever, I don't think they'd actually let Bobby kill the guy.

I was thinking exactly that, but 2 things 1) they might have been watching Tony and 2) Bobby acted very quickly. I'm most likely wrong, but I just didnt get a good vibe from those Canadians.

Nor did I and you are right about Bobby acting quickly. Then again, I felt the same way about the Middle Eastern guys that Chris was running around with last season and nothing came of it.

But it seems they are setting things up for the show to possibly end with Tony in prison, so who knows if these Canadians are feds or what.

At anyrate, I have to admit it was nice to see Bobby finally grow a set and beat the hell out of Tony. Bobby is probably the nicest character on the show, save Meadow and all the other guys have been walking all over Bobby since day one, making him serve as Junior's maid, pretty much. It was nice to see him finally get some respect.

I loved how Tony wouldn't let it go after the fight he kept bringing up reasons why he lost to Bobby. I think Bobby and Christopher are as good as gone

When they were playing Monopoly I thought that there was a sniper outside because they kept on showing those far away shots of the house's exterior.

I think Chris is going to live. I think Paulie is going to get whacked this season. Remember, Tony has been training Chris to be his successor. With Tony almost inevitably going to jail by the end of the season (at least thats what has been set up), I think Chris is going to be needed to take over.

As for Bobby, nah. I don't think Tony would whack his brother-in-law over something like that. He might continue to give him the ***** work, but he won't kill him.

When I get home next month, I'm sittin down and watchin all 5 episodes I missed back to back!

I don't think Tony will whack Bobby, he kind of made a reference to Bobby taking over instead of Christopher while they were fishing. Maybe Tony was testing Bobby to see if he had the cojones to actually man up?

Yeah but you heard Tony talk about how Chris has fallen out of favor. When he was talking to bobby on the boat he says something like "a certain someone who i've been grooming has his own agenda" (Chris and his movie) Then he hangs up on him when Chris calls to wish him a happy "belated" birthday. He more or less says he would begin to groom Bobby to take over. That's all going to change now obviously.

Funniest part of the episode was when there talking with the canadians and he asks Bobby if he'll be able to whack the guy, he says "you know your not going to be able to use a bow and arrow.":woot: Typical Tony humour.

Before the fight he definately was talking about grooming Bobby. I doubt any longer though.

He made Bobby whack that guy to get back at him plain and simple. He talked in great length on the boat about how it was a good thing Bobby hadn't whacked anyone, and then all of a change of heart? He was pissed he lost in the fight.

I was under the impression that Tony was talking strictly in regards to taking care of Carm, his family, and Tony's interests should he become incapacitated or incarcerated. Not taking over the crime family. I mean, Bobby isn't even a captain. Tony realizes just what kind of war would break out should Bobby be named his successor.

Bobby could still take over. He showed that he is a strong individual by standing up and beating the crap out of Tony. Will he take over though? I doubt it.

I think Bobby's going to get pinched because of his ripped shirt. Chris is going to OD. Paulie will die. Silvio will take over and Tony is going to die. Putting Tony in prison just seems... I don't know... anti-climatic.

No way Tony will die. The first three episodes of Season 6 pretty much guarunteed that. Having Tony live after all of that and then killing him would be as pointless as killing Trinity after she lived in Reloaded. If anything, they are setting things up for the feds to take Tony down.

As for Silvio taking over, again, the first three episodes of season 6 sort of negated that possibility. Silvio clearly can't handle the pressure, nor does he want it. Paulie pretty much has to get whacked. That leaves Bobby and Christopher. Bobby is probably going to get arrested (and maybe even turned informant) and Christopher, well...I anticipate Cleaver or whatever it is called bombing...perhaps that will get his head back in the game?

Are you using a Matrix Reloaded analogy with The Sopranos? Ugh...

I'll give you the Silvio thing. He doesn't want it. But putting Tony in prison would be uneventful. But it is The Sopranos and several of the storylines have been anti-climatic. He's a dead man in my opinion.

Might as well watch the final 8 episodes I guess...Pretty good start so far, and lets hope they make up for last season's boring ass show!

What did everyone think...it definately is setting up for Phil to go to war against Tony.

It better be New York (Phil) against New Jersey (Tony). It's been brewing for almost the entire series. It better happen or I'll be disappointed.

Anything else just won't do! Did Doc have the other guy whacked in front of Silvio?

It looks like Tony is going to support Carmine Jr. That'll definitely cause some trouble with Phil.

Next week looks interesting. Tony asks Paulie to go fishing...and we all know what happened to *****

Can anyone tell me what Leotardo's last words were in the second ep. No more what?

Also, loved the part with the guy getting whacked in front of Silvio. I was like, wtf.

Anyone going to watch the behind the scenes special of Cleaver? :woot:
