There have been a lot of confusion when it comes to the speed of the Z-shenshi and their foe's. So I decided to open a thread where we could even it out. The proof we uses goes like this:

Japanese/Viz-manga proof trumps Manga proof which is more realible than the Japanese (-subtexted) anime proof.

The dubbed anime does not count, it really dont have any connection to the Dragonball universe at all.

For example: If anyone finds proof in the US translated manga (not the viz) which says that the Z-shenshi fight at light speed. And it is somewhere showed or stated that they are not in the Viz-manga, then the statement in the US manga counts as false information.

Well if it's a fantasy world, why do you care so much? If most people are convinced they move at light speed leave it alone. If most people want to count the anime so what? If most people want to reference Gotenks flying around the world 7-9 times in a second so what? Buu sleept for 5 seconds.

That means that if Gotenkusu is more powerful than Boo. he must have sleeped in less than 5 seconds.

If Gotenkusu flied at the speed of light he would make it 9 times around the earth in one second.
Let's see 29,00 - 0,05 = 28,55 = 1 680 sec's.

Gotenkusu would be able to make it 15 120 times around the earth. If he was just in the speed of light.

Boo seems kinda slow even compared to a MaC-jet (plane that can surpass or fly in the speed of sound = 340m/sec = 1 224km/h)

Dude how many times do I need to tell you that he went that slow because Goku and Vegeta needed time to fuse?If Buu would have got there in one second it would have been the end of the show and Goku with a power level of 5000 was flying with 20,000 km/h,you want to say that Buu is slower then this Goku?raditz went 4 km in one second,you want to tell me that Buu is slower then Raditz?Or that he's slower then Nappa or Vegeta or Perfect Cell or Freeza?

Dude..when Bulma looks at Vegeta when he started flying and then the ki trail isn't there anymore,and there is alot more where in one panel it shows the ki trail and in the other one the ki trail isn't there and ssj Gotenks went in one second because saiyans can't breath in space,so Goteks can fly FTL.
So move on the z-fighters can fly FTL.

Gohan's school lies 5 000 km away from his house, still he leaves home a half an hour before it starts, and is almost allways late.

It took Freiza a long time on Namek to move from point A to B. Bejiita even had the time to take a nap.

There's a lot of these thing in the manga.

The onlything thing surpassing lightspeed in the manga is the space-pod's.
