Lots of hubbub about Peter Parker's (relatively) new look. Outrage and applause are cropping up everywhere they don't belong, so surely a new thread to discuss the hair is appropriate. So, what do you think of it?

Is it a bold, zesty new take on an old American classic?

Is it a sign that Morbius may be making an appearance in the rebooted franchise?

Does it mark a departure from one of the character's beloved hallmarks (that being Peter's inherent nerdiness) and show a need for a reboot before this one even hits theatres?

Does it even matter?

Discuss.

There's no need for this thread. It's being discussed everywhere else.

I dont like it. Doesnt need its own thread

Either way this is going to turn into a b**** fest by the end of the day

Oh, I just remembered, we haven't seen his footwear! If he isn't wearing sneakers like in the comics, this movie could be a disaster! D:

Spider hair, spider hair. Right out of bed it's spider hair. No time to wash, no time to comb. All of you haters can go home. Look out, here comes the spider hair.

He's a nerd. Sneakers are too cool for him. Penny loafers are where it's at.

/end sarcasm

the fact that we can make a situation out of a hairstyle that makes him look younger and still looks like peter parker just shows we nitpick almost too much.

I was going to re-evaluate my opinion on him based on the pictures of him as Pete, because, prior to this, I've only seen him with the big hair. Looks like he kept it, so I still don't see Peter Parker when I look at him.

Also, how the hell is he going to fit that into the mask?

Double Post.

Nerds arguing over his hairstyle. Now this is fanboy to the next level.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again until the end of friggin' time: THERE IS NEVER A NEED FOR A REBOOT.

Not after Spider-Man 3. Not after this movie (however well it does). Not even after Batman & Robin.

I can't wait for people to finally get the word "reboot" out of their system and start watching, making and talking about movies again.

Nerds? I don't see anyone awkwardly doing math here.

People often confuses"nerds"with"geeks"!.....Two different things.

I personally don't mind the hair all that much!,I agree it's a bit big But the hair&his overall look just screams"Dorky&Geeky reg TEEN"to me and he does reminds me of Peter(especially Ultimate Parker)and so I see no problem with this version.

Wait, no reboot after SM3 and Batman & Robin. You mean they should just keep making films based on this crap, until there's a dancing grinning monkey boy in a neon city?

And yes, it is sad that the only thing worthy to Spider-Man fans these days is hair and wardrobe. It's like being in a forum with Tommy Hilfiger and Tyra Banks.

No.

By the way, that's a "no" to the "based on this crap" part. Granted, there was more bad than good in both SM3 and B&R, but does that mean that the following Batman and Spider-Man movies need to reference it at all? Can't someone make a new movie with the same characters and not have it be a do-over? Hell, the Bond movies have been doing that for YEARS, and this is even before Daniel Craig.

I'm one to supports re-boots!,I like the concept of a"re-imagination".....In the end you may not feel that the new version is nowhere near a classic or whatever as the originals,But still I think it's nice to have fresh takes.

Plus I think comic-book movie reboots are even better!,In the comics there is"re-imagining"with rebooted origins/alternate universes/character changes and those qualities appeals to many fans!.....One reason I don't mind small changes in the movies compared to the comics is cause the comics changes too and so the movie versions is like a brand new comic series come to life!

Reboot, remake, reimagining I dont care

Too many people b**** about the Rs (reboot, remake, rating)

For F**k sake, it is HAIR. It looks perfectly normal, not out of place and it isn't going to change my opinion on a film. People need to critique the film for it's technical and artistic merits rather than whether Peter Parker has an incorrect hair style.

I think I've been inspired to create a song based on this. Might take inspired lyrics from a recent song and sing about Garfield's hair.

Expect it this weekend!

Peter Parker should start bald in the new movie
