The Spider-Woman Thread

Remember when the first issue was supposed to come out in April. lol I'm looking forward to this. I love the character and Bendis writes much better in solo titles than he does team books. Hopefully it turns out being great.

I'm passing. I'm not interested in the character or Bendis' writing.

But dude, it's his all time favourite character. OF ALL TIME! Aside from Luke Cage. You really don't wanna see a strong, independent female, who'll totally be inflated to a status inside of the MU she definitely can't, and will not live up to?

You sir, are a mysoginist. T.T

Not so. I read She-Hulk's series religiously, even when PAD's run sort of sucked for a while. :oldrazz:

I never -did- get behind that series.

But, if I had to pick between the two, I'd pick the emerald callgirl.

Either way, this series is going to suck. Badly.

Ten bucks says Luke Cage will guest star before issue six.

Eh, I'm sure it'll have its fans. Lots of them, as with anything Bendis does.

Unfortunately.

Let's make a pact. You kill me, then yourself.

I'm absolutely sure my fiance would agree.

EDIT: Aren't all women evil? ;)

I might consider thinking about picking this up. Maybe.

Hasnt Bendis been trying to push a Spider-Woman series for the past 4 years? I pretty much forgot about her

Big time. He tries to shove her down our throats whenever given the chance, for the worst of storytelling.

Honestly, the Skull Queen picks her because she can do the most damage?

I thought the Skrull Queen picked Spider-Woman because nobody in the Marvel Universe knows her that well, and thus no one would notice if she behaved out of character. Honestly, she could've posed as Mattie Franklin and had the same impact.

No, she was picked because apparently, she could do the most damage to anybody at any time.

It's not like Steve Rogers or Tony Stark had any sort of devastating influence or some such.

It bugs me that they released the motion comic for this already. I'm absolutely not interested in motion comics at all.(personally I think its the step right between comic and cartoon so why not just make a cartoon) Since this series is Spiderwoman agent of SWORD do you think all us She-Hulk fans even have the slightest chance of a She-Hulk mini She-Hulk: Agent Of ARMOR:) cowritten by Dan Slott and Fred Van Lente.

Ok here's the plan start the rumor, spread the rumor, rumor gets around maybe becomes fact. Lets bring Shulkie back

Lyra's being called She-Hulk now and will have a backup under that title in Incredible Hulk. So Marvel's already brought Shulkie back. Just not the one you (or I) want.

Yeah I'm not sure why Lyra gets to be She-Hulk. She's not even in our universe. We Have a perfectly good one not being used and I'd like to see more ARMOR stuff. we have 2 SWORD series on their way and SWORD does sound interesting, but ARMOR interests me more. It'd most likely be like a SHIELD and Exiles series combined if it were a series and SHIELD doesn't exist and neither do Exiles. start the rumor:)

Wow. That art looks incredible.

And Bendis + Maleev = win.

It takes getting used to, But it's fine. However, I am mad they ended the episode like that.:cmad:

Okay, I bit the bullet and bought the $9 season pass for the Spider-Woman motion comic...

After watching the first two episodes I gotta say, I would REALLY rather read a comic than watch these motion comics. The way the voice actress was reading Viper's dialogue was really annoying. It was like she was rushing all the dialogue in an unnatural way.

I never knew Jessica Drew was British though. And I definitely didn't know that Viper had some kind of Russian accent. Wtf?

I don't know though, I'm going to give it a chance. It's not too bad. We'll see if it grows on me at all.
