The Stan Lee cameo (SPOILERS)

I thought it was a good cameo appearence, and i actually thought he would be admitted to the wedding.

I think the is the Best Cameo of All-Time. Seriously.

Stan Lee appears in a cameo which itself is a movie adaption of a comicbook cameo which he not only appeared in, he wrote.

Try getting your head around that. It's so metatextual that it's genius.

Since there's no real forum to put this (or not one I'd care to hang out in) I'd like to say that I'm watching a movie (2007) called Stan Lee's "Harpies" with one of the Baldwin brothers. It's intentionally played loosely but it's still pretty bad. It has nothing to do with this thread....just found it interesting.

It actually reminds me, quality wise, of an episode of Walker Tx Ranger.

There was a discussion of the more recent works that Lee has done,i dont think any of them were good..and some people thought that Lee was just doing this for money.

I seriously agree.

I ate my words about not letting Stan speak while reviewing Spidey 3. The FF2 cameo was one of many wonderful things than FF movies have that make me feel like I'm reading the comics (and sharing it with others)

The world's greatest comic movie!

There's a great clip of Stan and Julian McMahon discussing Doom on the new FF1 extended cut.

For those of you who said Julian didn't care about the characters, or was just in it for the money. He was not scheduled to shoot that day, but he heard that Stan was doing his cameo, and he drove out to the set just to talk with him.

One of the finest Lee's cameo to me!
and thx for the link!

Lee's cameo in this movie surely will raise the bar for him..

Did anyone catch the Captain America cameo in the movie????
I had to watch the scene twice. Look at the scene where Doom confronts Surfer and there is this scene where the camera comes up out of the ice. As it does this it passed Cap frozen in the ice.....best cameo ever!!!!

We've discussed it.....it wasn't Captain America....

I think the final consensus was, its actually the surfer rising up....theres a gif around here of that specific spot....."somewhere".....:yay:

Just as an aside, Stan was honoured last Saturday night with a Lifetime Achievment Award from the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival (a new festival in LA, but already becoming very prestigeous as it already has been for some years in Paris). His award was presented to him by Doug Jones.

What goes on around here? Been many a moon since I was around these parts.
