Horror The Strangers

Liv Tyler shouldn't come back for the sequel. Hell, there shouldn't even be a sequel, unless they intended to kill The Strangers off at the end of it. I want them to **** with the wrong people and get killed. Make the girl's qoute of ''Next time it'll be easier." Be nothing but pure irony.

Haha, that'd be brilliant.

I heard some one joking around they should mess around with some black people and they get the crap kicked out of them.

But i agree their shoudn't be a sequel and if there needs to be no Liv.

Or if they ****ed with a couple who weren't mildly mentally ******ed as the characters in the film apparently were. :)
I always wondered what kind of friend would come into an empty house without even once calling out his friend's name or saying a thing. :p One looking to get shot in the face, maybe?

You're making absolute assumptions about a film you haven't seen. That is moronic. Deal with it.
You keep yapping and speaking idiocy "U HAVE A GIRL ***** UR A PR PERSON". I'm not even debating the quality of the movie. If you'd seen it and said it was a horrible movie, that would be totally cool. I even said 50% of people found it confusing and bad.
The point is, you're making absolute statements about something you don't know a thing about, and then when I point out the fact you're wrong you lash out with strawmen and ******ation.

What's funny is how stupid you seem to be. We're not debating the quality of the film. This discussion isn't even about it being "bad" or "bad things". How would the genre of the film be a bad or good thing about it? I'm pointing out the genre of the film since I've actually seen it.

Try reading before posting. I guess I'M the noob. :D

It's funny that you say this when even you can't do that.

Christ, more strawmen and weird ******ation. It seems you've conceded. Thank god. You were basically just spamming for most of the thread.

Bill: This movie I haven't seen is ____
Me: Uh, no, it's actually not.
Bill: IMMATURE NOOB.

Really, where is this?

And right here is where your argument completely falls flat on its face. Go back at look at the original postings. Not once either Billy or Apatow say that the movie IS anything, they said that it SOUNDS like it would be bad. Seriously, you attacked them for what they thought a movie would be like. They never once said that the movie is bad or anything. You are the one who flew off the handle and started slinging insults towards others, so no one is coming off looking more like a fool here than you.

Funny, first of all, try reading the thread. Second of all, you should really be warned for reigniting arguments that were already finished by both participants. Really the one coming off looking like the ultimate fool is you for kicking a dead horse you were never riding.
They were both making absolute dictations on what the film WAS despite never having seen it. When I frankly stated that it wasn't, they lashed out with insults and strawmen about how I was arrogant and blah blah blah. And that's where it all became rough. It could have just been "Oh, the movie seems___", "Nah, I saw it, it's actually ____", "Oh, okay"

It's a black comedy/satire, deal with it.

Now back to the actual topic.

Hehehe, I'm kind of wondering, what if "Tamara" HAD been home? I mean, it's an uncommon name, sure, but The Strangers seem to randomly choose houses and perhaps Dollface randomly uses different "Is _____ home?"
I just thought it'd be amusing to see what she would do if she did the fake "Asking for someone to check if the people are at home so you can kill them or not" and the people go "Why YES, I'm X...who are you?"

I don't care what you think about how I look since you were the one looking like a fool. I did read the topic, hence why I posted in it. Gee, what a novel idea. Here, for your recapping pleasure, is what went down. Bill and Apatow said this:

That Funny Games thing, honestly, sounds pretty lame. :o

I heard lot said it was pretty horrible.

To which you responded:

Well, it's not for your typical film audience. :whatever: I'm sure it's "lame".

As anyone who read the thread, which I did, can see that you were the first one to make condescending remarks by rolling your eyes at them, referring to them as just "typical" film goers, and mocking their opinion of what it looks like. There was nothing about "frankly stating" what it was like at all in that post. If it could just have been "Oh, the movie seems___", "Nah, I saw it, it's actually ____", "Oh, okay", then why didn't it go that way? The answer is because you threw the first punch. This isn't a matter of opinion, it's what anyone coming in will see when they read over the last several pages is of you attacking anyone who even remotely talks ill of the film. Seriously, take a look at what you type, and if you can't realize that how you phrase things can do rather serious damage and start arguments, then I don't know what more anyone can say to you except that you can expect a lot more of this in your lifetime, especially online.

Yeah, it was alright, though none of the scares really...scared me. :)

Ahh I see Ill probally watch this film soon. Just need to find it

Yeah it was quite very good...but I don't see the point of a sequel... with or without Liv. No need to turn it into a series.

Id love to see a sequel. If the same director came back then yeah. I think a sequel could be potentially better.

Who is he? what has he done before? im instantly a fan of his work now.

Wow nice. Maybe next time he'll do something with a monster. Imagine that?

Where'd my feisty girl go?

He has a film out in 2010.

I think she learned her lesson.
That you don't know what sarcasm is and resort to strawmen when you have no point? Yeah, I did. :oldrazz: I remember you thoroughly embarrassing yourself ("UR A HYPOCRITE OH WAIT WUTZ SARCASM"), so I don't really get why you're still yapping, usually when dogs get kicked they stop barking. It's more like I had to go out in a place called "the real world" outside. Heard of it? :word:

And yeah, The Strangers was Bertino's debut, though he has a film scheduled for 2009 called "Alone", the synopsis being:
"A woman who, after she suffers a tragedy, becomes a shut-in in a fancy apartment. Trouble is, the place is haunted and she soon finds herself seeing things."
The Strangers was ultimately unremarkable but okay, perhaps this film could be interesting.
