Pretty good battle actually

Machine Man is the man! I have all three of those issues. It's one of my favorite throw downs.

I hate to say it, but I refused to pick up NextWave because Marvel has pretty much been destroying him with that book. Stack is one of Marvel's powerhouses. He beat Hulk, went toe to toe with Alpha Flight and beat Arno Stark (Iron Man 2020). He ought to be with the New Avengers or Mighty Avengers kicking a$$ and taking names. He shouldn't be on some c-list team, no matter how funny or well written it is.

Who cares? If the ****'s a good read, the ****'s a good read. It's over now, anyhow.

Exactly. I'm not saying in the Maestro future that he didn't kill some of those heroes, but it's not his trophy room. We really don't know which heroes died in bombings, or in a war, or in a random death at the hand of a villain. It's not explained how each hero or villain dies. To simply credit Maestro just because we see a heroes mask is just guess work. I'm not saying Maestro couldn't have killed many of the heroes, but we honestly just don't know.

We also can't give Hulk credit for killing someone (such as a few Hulk fans saying Hulk killed Juggernaut because he wasn't around in Maestro's time lol) just because it happened in Maestro's time. Timelines diverge from the original, and characters grow after the events where the timelines split, so we can't say if current X character could be beaten as easily as he was in a story 10, 20, or 30 years ago in an alternate storyline as said character might have increased in power dramatically since.

Ive heard it from jesse falcon, its all I need, especilly since he worked for both toybiz and marvel and beyond that he said he killed them.In anycase why would all those items be thier, most broken apart, who did it? thiers way more evidence than not.

I do. It was funny. But it was oh so characteristic of how Marvel's been treating one of my sleeper favs for years. A classic Kirby creation, who had the heart of a man that outweighed his own formidable power. He was well conceived and written, yet completely ignored and pushed aside by Marvel writers. My only hope is that they find a fitting use for him in the future.

What you're saying tho is you are taking the word of a toy maker over what was shown in the comic. Jesse may have inside info, but I highly doubt he speaks for Marvel. I also doubt he speaks for the writers and editors of that time. Jesse has also been known to lash out and say stuff (semi jokingly, also semi in anger). Heck he made up the hero armor on one Maestro figure himself despite it not being in the comic, I think that says something that he would make something up that didn't happen in a comic because he thought it would look cool, and by that I mean bias of him liking Maestro so much he wanted to see him wearing IM, Thor, ans several other hero's masks and weapons on his chest. Jesse has knowledge, but he isn't the end all be all of Marvel.

It wasn't even funny. :o

Dirk Anger was supposed to be Nick Fury. If they'd given the other characters different names, it would've been fine.

Dirk Anger being Nick Fury still would've been funny. I don't why Marvel didn't give Ellis the green light for that one.

Oh, please. It's one book that could've easily been written off if it came to that. Let Ellis have his fun. :o

Exactly.
So everybody was a rogue LMD? Because nobody in that comic acted anything close to in-character. If it hadn't been taken out of continuity, Ellis would've happily ruined a bunch of second-stringers for a series that wasn't even funny. Pretty much a waste any way you look at it.

A waste to you. You pretensious mother****er, you. :o

jesse is huge at toybiz and marvel both(grant it toybiz isnt marvels deal anymore but at that time it was a major bit)He is such a fan that he makes it a point to know about everything he can and that maestro figure was one of his favorites, now Ive talked to him a few times and its always hulk related and if you talk to anyone who knows him they will tell you hes big in marvel land, working at the marvel offices was his first stop before heading into toybiz and so he knew comics before toys.He told me that those were the victims of hulks after math and that he included them because of it,it makes sense to,why would hulk just pick stuff up and wear it?.no granted he couldent lift thors hamme but at one time he could and jesse said he had to include it.these are the facts, beyond that he had a whole range of accesories for the second maestro figure that couldent be included.people try to say a bomb killed them, the planet killed them or something else but it was hulk.in anycase you guys are getting into this for no reason,Im simply saying if you were to go and just post scans,no words,no explanation hulk would still win.
