The Superhero Cinematic Civil War of Tomorrow Thread - Part 62

Oh ****, as a joke I clicked "report" on Snyder's IG post and selected "I want to request a community note" to see if I could write "this post should state Henry Cavill was Superman" but it didn't even let me add context and just went right through as a reported post.

Gonna be funny when this Last Photograph movie is actually solid and thoughtful and nobody watches it and even his fans skip over it in order to talk about Netflix buying the Snyderverse, or whatever.

Have I missed some news? I don't see the guy that went out of his way to kill innocent bystanders while fighting Daredevil and laughing at Matt's reaction to him having killed Foggy as someone to feel sorry for.
All those scenes of him "struggling", particularly the one scene where Vanessa tries to keep him on a leash by withholding his meds while he begs for them or whatever are enough to get that vibe across for me.

This is Snyder's 5th collaboration with screenwriter Kurt Johnstad. "Solid" and/or "thoughtful" are long shots. It will certainly be going for "deep" though, that's a guarantee! :o

Ok, then we just have different views on that, which is fine. I just wanted to check if there was something new about season 2 that I had missed. I don't mind seeing Poindexter, Vanessa or Fisk vulnerable at times as it just makes them feel more real and interesting, but none of that make me feel sorry for them since they are all horrible people that do horrible things.

[reads summary of Last Photograph]

Yeah, this is going to be a low budget Sucker Punch, just with 100x the racism.

Even Grok knew it was a crime against cinema!

Isn’t he supposed to be busy directing/writing for the Saudi Royal family/TKO/UFC or whatever.

And after that recent Rock movie failed I don’t think the market is that big for MMA movies.

Saudis may buy out TKO/UFC/WWE some day.

I'm convinced that will happen much sooner than later.

I mean they own EA... And by extension BioWare.

@Kane52630 hear me out:

Batman & Mr Freeze Sub-Zero is underrated, and the Mr Freeze boss fight in Arkham City is the best boss fight in the whole franchise. :o

I love the Freeze boss fight in City. It took me a minute to figure it out but once you get the hang of it it's hilarious because it's essentially Batman just ****ing with him.

But I also have to tip my hat to the Deathstroke boss fight in Arkham Origins. That one was tough.

Exactly Drizzy. ****ing with Victor in fun, non lethal ways :o

I still have to get around to playing Origins, I keep forgetting that game is in the canon. Don’t tell nobody. :sneeze:

It's good but it's not absolutely essential, though the boss fights are definitely better than Arkham Knight for obvious reasons. Conroy and Hamill are missed as Batman and Joker but Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker are still good as younger versions of the characters.
