The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

I just realized, this is gonna be the fourth movie starring the Harley Quinn character that just didnt connect with the audience.

This character may go on ice after this, y'all.
Say what you will about the first Suicide Squad because it's arguably the worst movie featuring Margot's Harley but that did connect with audiences. Apart from it being a success at the box office, look no further than how popular Harley Quinn costumes were that Halloween.

We'll definitely see Harley pop up in the DCU, possibly even played by Margot due to having worked with Gunn, but most likely only as a supporting character in the Batman movies.

Very true, although i'd argue if Suicide Squad really connected with audiences it could have easily made a billion dollars. But yes, youre right, people seemed to at least like Robie's Harley in that movie.

Make a not-musical musical with one of the biggest pop stars in the world and make sure she's hardly in it. Duh.

We as a collective global audience knew that Aquaman, and only Aquaman, was to be the only DCEU movie that had to hit that billion dollar mark. :o

If you guys have one minute, please watch this Robot Chicken ripoff that Marvel just made:

^^This sh** is the best thing they’ve done since X-Men 97.

I want a series.

Gwen Stacy’s tagline of being careful who you fall for is nasty work.

Glorious :funny: This is the second animated Real Housewives parody from Disney I've seen in short succession, the first one was in the Zootopia D+ show. Keep 'em coming, Mouse House, I'm living for it.

I'm Damien's #1 fan. But you need to do Dick right first. It almost feels nonsensical to do a Damian movie without an established Dick at least. That's the fun.

They've alluded to the Batfamily being present in that story, and that basically means Dick.

Ummmm.... phrasing?

But he wouldn't be established. There would be no Dick growing up with Batman, being Robin, turning into Nightwing. What kind of story is that, when you haven't established:

a) Dick.

b) What being a Robin is.

c) What it does to those who are Robin.

d) The relationship between Bruce and at least Dick, if not all the others.

You know what's even more mindblowing? Aquaman is the highest grossing DC movie, period. Ever.

But we don't know that. The film could tell that story. It just won't be across a trilogy of films that takes 8 years.

And the shortcut is my issue with it. Especially when you haven't had a proper Dick Grayson done on the big screen. This isn't a Spider-Man situation, where the shorthand for the origin makes sense.

There is of course also the creative involved. Or lack there of.

Dick being Robin is so integral to both his and Bruce's characters. While I'm very grateful for the films's we've gotten over the time period, Dick's Robin needs to return to the big screen. He's such an interesting character in his own right, on top of being such a great way to explore Batman.

There are some things I'll never understand and that's one of them. Like I can totally buy Aquaman being a success but almost six years later and I'm still in disbelief that it got to that level.

China loves big, colorful American movies

I just want Reeves’ Batman to get a Robin so badly. If he does Dick’s origin, then having Dick already there as Nightwing in TBatB is probably the right call. Otherwise, No.
If that happens, they gotta recreate this:

Kidding aside, there's always room for another orphan in the Reevesverse. Lord knows that word was thrown around left and right in The Batman. :o
