I love Birds of Prey, but have zero attachment to Cassandra Cain, which obviously helps in that department. Really enjoyed this take on the other characters though. They probably should’ve just named the kid (and movie) anything else, but whatever. Still one of the better-made DCEU outings imo.

Birds of Pray was OK. Never really got the hate besides some of the changes from the source material and the usual misogyny crowd harping on about female led franchise stuff.

Margot was the BEST thing about BOP. Most of her scenes were comic gold and she got the assignment. Rosie Perez was great in it too. Can’t say I’m not wild about the changes made (not having Babs is a big detractor).

This level of legendary conversation to celebrate CBM launches on a superhero film forum within a general superhero film thread is why he was knighted earlier this year and given his Hype lifetime achievement award. All future Hype events of significance will now feature wild banquets in his honour and the downing of pickle juice during the key speeches before gorging on 48 inch pineapple-anchovies pizzas with no hands/cutlery.

You can keep the pineapple anchovies pizza but save some of that pickle brine for me.
